Depending on how large the shop area is, you may be able to put in a little bar area, with a table. This look goes with the garage door and open living room and still holds to the black, grey and white "theme" going on. Could easily incorporate the red in here as well and blend in the living room area
Soooo... I really like this. Really like this place... The color scheme isn't exactly the best. It blends with the spare bedroom a bit too much. However, the focal point i see here is community and at a dinner table, that seems important! The high ceiling adds a great look for the rooms, not making it crowded and if the table and chairs are left simple, the focus would be on the food and people.
This one, is very simple and is open with necessary furniture. Color from the kitchen could daily blend here but can keep white as the main color.
