Two reasons, this photo is here. First, our pool is going to be adjacent to two property walls, one is a retaining wall. I'd like the pool to abut as close to the walls as possible, similar to this. Second, I hate water fountains in swimming pools. They're noisy; a babbling waterfall to carry filtered water is ok.

Our pool is going to be tucked behind a garage (to be brick-faced) and two property walls (also to be brick-faced). I like how the people here enlarged their pool to be flush with the brick structure.

I'd love to a have a natural pool, but that's not why I'm looking at this. I like the stone/brick wall that is being reclaimed by nature. My vision is to have the pool surrounded on three sides by a stone/brick wall that has the appearance of being a stately room at a distant period of time. I want a little more erosion on the walls and the pool to extend closer to the walls. (I'm hoping to find better pictures of my vision to post here.)
