small bath

color and orientation of this tile is amazing. Looking for this color blue for the new bathroom. Or perhaps a wainscotting consisting of vertical tiles. There is a curvy wall that would require smaller width tiles to span the curve.

I like the marble subway tile with the niche

Beautiful variation in tile, similar floor and shower stall surface (continuity). Pretty color.

Traditional floor pattern, neutral shower stall with marble tiles?

Q

Dark grey floor, white fixtures, neutral palette. Add decorate element with the mirror frame.

Sink integrated with custom counter shae. I was told it would be prohibitively expensive to get this made out of Corian. I imagine glass would be even more expensive.

Wall-Mounted Bathroom Storage Cabinet, Espresso With 5 Shelves

Q

5 shelf cabinet to replace oak wall cabinet and white bookshelf. Off the floor is a good idea.

I like the clever storage behind translucent panel. The soft whites against the brighter whites of sink and toilet.

either a fold down bench or moveable bench for tub would be a good idea.

Accessory shelves that double as grab bars - brilliant.

Whether or not I keep my old bathtub, the subway tile would be a sensible choice for my 1940s era house. With the addition of the wainscotting like trim, it keeps a flavor of the era. The dark floor anchors the space. Love the niche. I would want to add decorate but functional grab bars - you know, the ageing in place design, much as I hate to admit the need might be there.

I like consistency of tile segue from shower to rest of bathroom, and the invisible glass, making space seem larger. I love the cabinetry. Don't know if I have room for a solid cabinet in my 1940s bathroom, but maybe a floating shelf with sink might work better. Biggest conundrum is keep old cast iron tub or replace with walk in shower?

For a small space, emphasis is on simplicity, all white, with a traditional pattern in the floor tile and classic subway tub surround. I grew up visiting tiny NY apartments and always loved the slightly trompe l'oeil geometric patterns on the floor, and the subway tile, of course. One of my goals is building in a generously proportioned mirrored cabinet (mine sticks out right now). I have a similarly proportioned pedestal sink but it takes up too much room in my tiny bathroom.
