Farmhouse laundry

Different arrangement, combining existing pantry and part of side porch to include w/d. Existing window (in our pantry) is in the place of drying rack in this photo.

Like "stick out" post for hanging wet hanging clothes, or use fold-able curtain rod as hanger for drying items?

Is there a reason to add a utility sink in current laundry room (pantry) or better to. Different appliance - wine fridge, trash compactor, etc..? This question applies if we keep w/d in current location (not move it out to mudroom area)

If keep w/d in current location (pantry), use opposite wall and window wall for desk/office storage. Will need to have new entry into laundry from mudroom (will bisect office wall)

Is this hard to do? Maybe do not want front load washer? But like using under space for laundry baskets and having machines at waist-height

Keep laundry in place (in pantry), but add new entryway (with frosted glass for lite) from mudroom. Use rest of space (in pantry) for desk. Find other locations for pantry stuff, storage, dog bowls & trashcan.

Seems like w/d has to go into notched space. What structural elements would prohibit moving laundry and mudroom walls to reconfigure space. Outside dog wash would be nice (at pump?)

Like cabinet or shelf to hold cleaning supplies (and dog supplies), lighted hanging space and folding counter at comfortable height. Could have laundry bins under, and leave washer space open for top load washer

Like the simplicity of this plus color. Instead of shelf, install hanging bar for clothes. Folding area could be permanent or fold down/up.

Separate bins for lights, darks and whites AND separate color-coded (family name) bins for each family member/household to pick up and fold and put away their own laundry. These bins could be labeled for other things, too, such as dog, boots, hats, blankets, etc
