Acre completed a simple, practical, elegant design for us which is nearing completion now. Although the big details are important, it is in the little details that we have been able to see the value of Brett's designs. The alignment of elements, the contrasting texture of materials, the exact specification of stone, the perfect selection of plants and furniture. We had never used a Landscape architect before, having completed landscape designs ourselves in the past, but we are complete converts now. The impact of our wonderfully designed garden has a profound impact on the enjoyment of the internal spaces of our home and has considerably lifted the value of the property.

Brett Robinson from Acre has recently worked on a landscaping project for our garden. Brett Robinson has done some lovely work. We saw one of his courtyard gardens at the Melbourne International Garden Show and decided to make contact. It was a very happy choice. He re-imagined our tiny space in a way that delighted us and which has given us lasting pleasure. He brought the project in on budget and worked hard to rework the design without compromising the overall concept when the original quotes came in out of our ballpark. This was my first time working with a landscape architect, Brett from Acre has been amazing! The "Black Box' townhouses required smart landscape architecture due to the tight site conditions. From our first consultation I felt that Brett's enthusiasm and experience was excellent. Brett was not only interested in the landscape but also wanted to know the exact finishes Jamison Architects had designed to ensure that his design works well with what had already been selected in the home as it has lots of glass leading from the living spaces into the pool side and alfresco. All the items Brett had discussed was then emailed to us along with photos of other finished projects so we could see it clearer and finalise, this made it very easy. All the hardscapes are now in and we will so be planting very soon, cant wait. Our company has had the pleasure of working with Brett Robinson and his latest entity, Acre, for quite a number of years. Brett's attention to detail to deliver form and function in an aesthetically pleasing design makes it always exciting to work with Acre on any of their projects.

We dealt with Brett from Acre for a landscaping design consult, when we renovated our beachside Victorian style home in South Melbourne. Brett produced a CAD layout of our property and designed the garden utilising the space in the best way possible. Acre incorporated an architecturally designed bluestone carport with black mesh sails, galvanised floating posts surrounded by a black pine boarded modern garden utilising a minimalist feel whilst having a bbq / seating area with LED tree lighting included. The space is a true refection of form following function. We would recommend Acre to people who want to get more out of their outdoor living space / garden.

Brett Robinson Principal with Acre Landscape architecture was engaged in Feb 2014 to design us a new backyard which was to include an Alresco type area, decking, water feature and a redesigned garden areas with built in BBQ to compliment the replica Federation style home. The project was designed to replace the existing bluestone pitcher courtyard and retainer walls, gardens etc. The area itself was relatively small however Brett was given latitude to visually change the look by introducing new concepts and features. Brett provided us with detailed concept plans which met our original requirements plus including 2 additional stone feature walls clad in outdoor bawa bawa stone, bluestone steppers (some random) in three zones of the garden, raised bench clad in sawn bluestone and a fully detailed planting schedule for the new gardens. Brett also prepared the working drawings for the development of the decked area and the new alfresco roof which included timber lined ceiling, LED downlights 4 skylights and fan. In the conceptual phase costs came in over budget and Brett and I sat down and with the landscaper and found some creative alternatives to reduce the quoted costs while maintaining the interity of the design. Brett's experience in landscape design including plant selection, maintaining linkages between each zone of the garden, the selection and use of high quality products and creativity in providing well placed features shone through with the detailing that he applied to the concept and working drawings. Brett was easy to deal with and always available to assist with technical issues particularly during the hardscaping phase. Brett provided us with a number of landscapers and builders who he thought would be ideal for the project. We interviewed each and selected a separate landscaper and builder. Brett was often in contact with each contractor to ensure that the design was adhered to and that cost and deadlines were on track. We are so pleased with the finished product and the sensational new look to our property. I would have no hesitation in recommending Acre Landscape Design and Brett Robinson to any one looking to renovate their property given the difference that his designs have made to our property and the enjoyment we have derived from our new garden design.
