Creative Carpentry & Design Inc. is a full-service General Contracting firm located in White Plains, NY that has been successfully completing projects in the Westchester area for over 36 years. As the owner, I have over 45 years experience as a Carpenter and Project Manager. I personally supervise every project we contract throughout the entire process. Creative carpentry & Design is a small- to mid-sized company specializing in high-end residential Westchester remodeling and renovation projects. Whether you are renovating your entire house, adding an addition, redoing your Kitchen or Bathrooms we would welcome the opportunity to help make your project a reality.

We had the pleasure of doing a gut renovation of a single family home in Pelham, NY with Sam Gaeta and his team. After an extremely long bid process with over 10 contractors, we went forward with Creative Carpentry. They fit our requirements for budget, quality and professionalism and we were not disappointed. The work they did was excellent and thorough, with beautiful custom millwork, tile work and trim work. His subcontractors were professional and thorough and his handling of inspections and municipal approvals was flawless. Sam is a warehouse of knowledge when it comes to finishes and details and as a fellow professional I learned from him and relied on his expertise. His advice to the client was timely and wise and change orders were well priced and appropriate. We would not hesitate to work with Creative Carpentry again and we recommend them highly.

Sam Gaeta, Jr., Creative Carpenty & Design, Inc., oversaw and completed the major and total renovation of an apartment for us. The name of his company is very apt - he is truly creative! He is a consummate professional contractor who is diligent, exacting, and a pleasure to work with - his high standards yield excellent results, and he stands by his work without reservation. Our large project took many months to complete due to its complexity. Sam provided excellent guidance on the most effective approaches to use throughout the project; he maintains the highest standards and his suggestions were always on point. The results are terrific and we feel very fortunate to have had Sam/Creative Carpentry work with us.

sam made a new stone patio for me. it's an old house and the patio sits above the basement and water was always a problem. so many leaks over the years. until sam came in and solved the problem for us. he gave us an estimate that was spot on and left us with a great patio (and no surprises!). he was professional and detail oriented. sam communicated with us every step of the way and always kept his word. he's a good man and an equally good contractor. sam will be working at my old house again soon!

We had our kitchen completely redone by creative carpentry -- from floor to, and including the ceiling. We couldn't be happier. The work was of highest quality, Sam and his staff were easy to have around the house, any outside vendors they used were also high quality and well supervised and they left their work space in fine condition every night. The project was also finished on schedule which was a unique experience for us as none of our other major construction projects have had the same "on-time" performance.

Creative Carpentry did a large renovation of our home about 9 years ago and has renovated a basement and spare room/bathroom for us in the last 5 years. We have always found them to be very efficient and hardworking and to do an excellent, meticulous job. They are very respectful and pleasant while working in your home. We would definitely use them again for future work.

I have worked with Creative Carpentry for over 30 years. The professional manner they bring to a project is the best I've ever worked with in my over 45 years as an Architect. I have worked with them on projects from under $2,000 to over eight hundred and fifty thousand dollars. The people on the Creative Carpentry team are a pleasure to work with -- the sub-contractors the firm uses are all top of the line -- they are craftsmen who know their jobs. If there were a problem on a job, [ an unknown condition ], Mr. Gaeta would be ready to review the possible solutions with me on the job and be ready to give me and the owners what the cost change would be and how it might effect the completion date of the project. Creative Carpentry is a pleasure to work with. I can not say enough good things about the firm.

I've used Creative Carpentry for years for my renovation projects including the kitchen and extension to my dining room. Sam's contracts spell out exactly what he's going to do so there are no surprises and he gets the job done in the time he says it will take. He and his crew work neatly and are there every day until the job is done. Their work is very professional and to code.

Sam and his crew did a Fantastic job on our house. They installed Skylights and a new roof in our Family room. They showed up on time, and each day they left the work site clean and organized. I plan on using them again, and would strongly recommend them to anyone who is looking for top quality work.

Sam and his team at Creative Carpentry & Design did a beautiful and professional job renovating and building an addition on our family's 100+ year old. Sam's attention to detail, thoughfulness and care was of the highest quality. He was "hands-on" in both work and supervision of his own staff and of sub-contractors. Additionally, Sam and his team were respectful of my home and friendly and kind to my children. We lived at home during our renovation and had three very young children at the time. Sam always kept his work site safe and neat. Our children looked forwarded to their prompt arrival each day. We highly recommend Sam and his team! Diane & Gary Katz

Sam of Creative Carpentry & Design was a pleasure to work with. I liked him instantly, I liked that he listened to my ideas but also had great suggestions and ways to take my (somewhat disjointed!) ideas into a solid plan that addressed our needs. Sam turned our underused sunporch into an office. The space has a long narrow layout with windows covering nearly all the wall surfaces. He designed a desk unit with two work stations, plenty of storage, reworked an existing built-in bookcase to match and be more functional as well as added a closet/wardrobe size storage cabinet. It's my favorite room in the house! He has a great eye for detail and design and works tirelessly to make sure it looks exactly right. He also worked around my crazy part time work schedule coming to work on the days I was home. I would hire them again in a heart beat.
