With years of experience, Elina is passionate about unique and elegant designs and delivering beautiful interiors. With her innovative and cost affective approaches, she can make your dream interior a reality! Principal Elina Helenius has a background in international project management and interior design qualifications from prestigious Sydney institutions ISCD (International School of Colour and Design) and Sydney Design School. Elina is also trained in spatial planning, construction for interiors, 2D and 3D drafting as well as interior decorating and finishes, she is well equipped to tackle the trickiest of projects from extensions and renovations to non structural makeovers! Born in Finland, schooled in South East Asia, and trained in Australia, Elina brings an international flare to her residential and commercial work alike. Although based in Northumberland, we do frequently work in London and would be happy to travel to manage your next project. Give us a call today, to discuss your ideas!

I have worked on several projects with Decodence as a photographer over the last 5 years and all the work I have carried out has been planned, organised and structured to a very high standard before I started. This made my work a lot easier to produce and my deadlines were met with ease. This company operates to a very high standard and I would not hesitate in referring Decodence to anyone.

Decodence refurbished my restaurant and did a wonderful job of it. I was nervous at first to have the job done since I take huge pride in the business, however it turned out there was nothing to be nervous about. The work done absolutely exceeded my expectations and I couldn't be happier with the finished product. Next time I need a job done, I will definitely return to decodence for it. Thank you for making such a good job of my restaurant. The staff were lovely to work with as well and very friendly. See you soon!

When we decided to build a utility room in our garage we really needed a spatial planner and that was exactly what we got with Elina from Decodence. The final space is amazing - simple, stylish materials that didn't cost a fortune and make the best possible use of the space available. I have recommended Elina to friends, who are equally impressed. I would definitely use this company again.

We worked with Decodence in 2016 on two business projects - a refurb of our existing style bar and bistro and also on a conversion of our duplex apartment into a new luxury holiday let. In working with Decodence on both projects, it was clear the company had extensive knowledge and experience of interior design and a definite ability to understand our vision and business needs. When sourcing fabrics, furnishings and fittings, Decodence were able to identify, source and select materials that not only fitted our brief, but exceeded expectation in terms of quality, impact, originality and value for money. We enjoyed working with Elina and her team and were thoroughly pleased and happy with the outcome of their endeavours.

Elina is an experienced, highly competent designer. She has a glamorous, polished edge to her work and can create an impressive scheme using her ability to visualise far ahead. Take a tumble down building or a bare, dated interior, she will bring style, substance and a great sense of organisation to a project. Whether it is a hotel, a restaurant, a castle or a modest apartment, she will make a success of it.

It has been an absolute pleasure and journey working with Elina on the renovation of our 1930's property on the road down to the beach at Bamburgh. It was a fantastic location and good house but it was tired. It needed restored and updated to make it into the wonderful seaside retreat it is today. Decodence have been a wonderful company to work with - always attentive, knowledgable, full of ideas (both sensible and creative), and it was a genuine relationship of discovery and design as we worked out what was best for the house and us. We now have a beautiful, practical and wonderful home!
