We hired the Fox Design Group to prepare architectural plans for a major remodeling of our house: Master bedroom, office, office/bedroom, and dining room. The Fox Design Group was very knowledgeable and professional. They were easy to work with and very responsive to our needs. They were able to meet deadlines and were able to provide lists of multiple vendors for different aspects of the construction. They were also able to work with the general contractor quite well; whenever the contractor encountered problems or challenges, the architect was able to respond in a timely manner. I would easily recommend Fox Design Group to anyone needing their services. Note: The project price includes architect, contractor labor and materials.

Dennis Fox prepared the plans for a major remodel of our small bungalow home in Albany. It included adding a complete second story (two bedrooms and a bath), remodeling the kitchen, and designing a seismic upgrade for the entire house. At a later date, he also designed the hardscape, a deck and patio, for our back yard. In addition, he researched and solved the water leakage problems in our basement. We highly recommend Dennis as an exceptional architect who was able to satisfy and fulfill all our expectations of a professional in his field. The space he created for our remodel was perfect! He was very easy to work with on a personal as well as a technical level. Being a clear communicator was an essential quality that Dennis brought to the table. He listened to us carefully and completed our project, fulfilling our needs and, to the extent possible, keeping in mind the limitations of our budget. He answered questions clearly and researched alternatives if necessary. We were struck by Dennis's ability to design a space that met our needs and also fit in with the size of the lot, the houses next to ours, and the whole surrounding neighborhood. Dennis had an exceptional ability to design creative, attractive spaces that integrated and, at the same time, retained the integrity of our original floor plan. His knowledge about lighting and his attention to detail were essential in creating these wonderful spaces in our home. Throughout the job, Dennis provided consistent coordination and communication with us and with the construction team. Always taking a hands-on approach, he was readily available to answer any questions or concerns we had. Dennis helped make our remodeling experience efficient and successful. We hired Fox Design Group to plan a major renovation of our 1960 ranch house. The kitchen area was greatly enlarged and moved to the other side of the house for the nice garden view. Double-glazed windows replaced the old aluminum frames. Earthquake retrofit for the perimeter foundation. The list goes on, a pretty big job about $450,00. Dennis is masterful in his use of light, using interior lighting, dimmers, skylights, and windows to create well-lit comfortable spaces. He helped us in getting things through the county planning department, not a fun job. It was a pleasure working with Dennis. He listened to our ideas and guided us to a beautiful home. People continue to compliment us on it.
