We worked with Colin and his team to build our California modern dream home in the woods of Dover. The level of professionalism and attention to detail is superior. The style of modern that Colin and his team execute is clean, crisp, mid-century modern with exquisite touches of detail and uniqueness. Mike, who is part of the Flavin team was instrumental throughout our build and was highly accessible, knowledgable and showed great depth of creativity and problem solving. We couldn't be happier with our custom home.

The Flavin team took our initial concept, and while remaining true to its essence, expanded it and embellished it in ways we could never have imagined, turning it into a design that is beyond our expectations. We are truly inspired and delighted with what they have created. And all along the way, they were friendly, collaborative and attentive to our questions. We started working with Colin and team on our mid century modern renovation in 2021, the project was completed in 2023. Working with the flavin team is an absolute pleasure, they are highly professional and quickly developed a shared vision for the project with us. They listen to our ideas and work them into a coherent design for the house that is respectful to original architecture while bringing it to the 21st century. They handled all details such as permitting and helped us select a great general contractor to realize the project. The flavin team remained highly engaged throughout the full lifecycle of the project, including construction, review, punch list etc... going the extra mile to make sure our needs were met. 100% recommendation for Colin and team!

Colin Flavin and his team went with our flow and continue to have patience as we ponder our way forward with building a new house. We started working with Colin prior to Covid, designing a new house in western massachusetts. My husband and I loved the process we went through over the course of months, meeting with Colin at the property, sending his team our ideas, pictures and house dreams that they took and made far better than our imaginations could ever do. Did I mention how many times we would change our minds about things and how receptive and wonderful they were in keeping pace with our changes!??! After a number of months we got very close to a house design that matched our thoughts and needs and then Covid happened and we pulled the plug and decided to wait. I am writing this review during the continued "waiting period" because I know we will build that house in the future and Colin is the only architect I would use going forward. He is so personable, such a good listener, is able to steer without dominating and the level of technology Flavin Architects offers is the highest ideal for visualizing and maximizing how we can "see" what we are thinking. And just so any reader has context here- we are talking about a multi level 4,500 square foot home with huge panels of glass, a contemporary modern vibe without being too cold or sterile feeling, while maximizing long views. oh boy, I get reinvigorated even thinking about the possibilities!

After extensive research to find the right firm to assist with the restoration of our 1950 north shore mid century home, we knew that Flavin Architects was the perfect fit for the project, as soon as we came across their profile on Houzz. Colin and Heather provided us with creative solutions that would preserve the integrity of the original architects vision, while incorporating present day advances in building/construction/ and technology. The entire Flavin team has been great to work and are always happy to assist with last minute design changes, modifications, and direction.

This architecture firm is extraordinary. The initial hand drawn design was inspired and breathtaking and then the process from finding the right builder to working within a budget was excellent. We feel so fortunate to have found Flavin architects for our carport and studio design.

We worked with the brilliant team of Colin Flavin, Heather Souza and Howard Raley at Flavin Architects over about a 2 year period of the design and creation of a brand new, modern smart home in Massachusetts. They took our vision and created a wonderful new home with the utmost style and elegance and yet functional simplicity, from the largest concept to the smallest detail.
