Om oss

Jackbuilt Inc. is a design/build/remodeling company providing our clients with solutions to all their remodeling and repair needs, from kitchens & bathrooms to complete renovations. Since 1975, our focus has been on kitchen & bathroom additions and renovations, specializing in custom showers. We represent custom & semi-custom cabinet manufacturers and stone fabrication shops. We offer a kitchen & bath design service as well. We are also residential construction consultants, offering an evaluation/inspection service to homeowners who are working with contractors and have questions about procedure, quality and value. About Jack: My wife of 35 years, Cynthia & I have raised 5 kids, 60+ foster kids, 100's of budding basketball & soccer stars, and find ourselves firmly rooted in our adopted Fitchburg community. I've been in building since junior year in high school - so much has come and gone, some good (air tools, hi tech adhesives) some bad (lost quality & craftsmanship). Our crews, headed by Michael Miner with Kathleen Emberley anchoring the office, have been together for years. Our clients, mostly referred by past clients, become repeat clients. I feel fortunate to be a part of all this and still have a passion for what I do and the people I do it with.....

We highly recommend Jackbuilt. Our project consisted of remodeling the kitchen, living room, bathroom, and three-season room. Jack and his crew transformed our first floor of the house into an inviting, modern and comfortable living space. From the beginning, Jack’s vision and creativity impressed us. We had a basic idea of what we wanted to do. He listened to our needs, and wishes, and created a cohesive plan that brought our vision to life. During the construction, Jack was involved with the project and on-site every day working with his terrific crew of true professionals. They were meticulous and detail-oriented to get things right. The project was completed as projected and stayed within budget. We would highly recommend Jackbuilt and we would happily hire him and his fantastic crew again for any future project.

Jack did a fantastic job. Completely gutted and installed kitchen and bathroom. Took down walls and also moved doors. Jack is a pleasure to work with. He has a great idea for detail and design and is happy to make suggestions or take your lead. I always had the feeling that he was trying to do and take the most practical solution and one that makes economic sense. He knows what’s important not to cut corners on also. He tenaciously ensured the project got closed out on time and on budget which it did. He’s a man of integrity!

Jack and his team did an exceptional job renovating a 7' x 7' kids' bathroom in our (quirky) antique house. Jack's design is a great use of space, makes the room seem so much bigger and allows for a large area of built in shelving. The craftsmanship on the tile and woodwork is fantastic. I highly recommend Jackbuilt.

Jack and his crew remodeled our laundry room and bathroom, and the outcome exceeded our high expectations. Jack has creative ideas and an excellent sense of design, and his crew does meticulous work. The resulting craftsmanship is impressive, and throughout the process Jack and his team were a pleasure to work with. We’re already thinking about our next project with Jackbuilt!

Jackbuilt did a wonderful job building a basement full bathroom from the studs up (not a remodel). We had a basic plan in mind, and Jack was fantastic from our very first meeting to the final detail - a real pleasure to work with. He and his workers are extremely professional, very skilled, nice people. They cleaned up the worksite every day and finished on time and well within budget. We *love* our new bathroom and would definitely hire Jackbuilt again!

Jack and his crew worked on a rental unit that I own that had not been updated in 35 years. They completely redid the bathroom and did a partial remodel of the kitchen. I was impressed by the quality and professionalism of their work. I was not able to be there during the entire remodel but found them to be reliable and dependable. My realtor raved about the bathroom and said it looked like it was from an upscale hotel. I was able to raise the rent by more than 20%. I would definitely work with them again on any future projects.

Jackbuilt is fantastic. They have worked on our home for over 10 years in various projects. They do such high quality work and are people you like to have working on your home. Jack takes an idea and runs with it. He has great vision of the end product and makes the best recommendations...trust him and you'll be very happy with the end result.

Rebuilt our master bathroom as well as found and solved a leak that was occurring from the bathroom down into our kitchen. Also put some new under counter lights in our kitchen. Jack and his team were easy to work with, very respectful of our time and extremely neat. The master bath looks beautiful and is perfect!! Jack guided us all the way with excellent suggestions and his vast experience was quite evident. Highly recommend him and his team.

Jackbuilt transformed my century old home into a beautifully restored home for my family. He helped design simple changes that created a big difference, like turning a second butler's pantry into a new foyer instead of coming directing from the driveway into the kitchen, building custom shelves to add storage, and adding pocket doors and a custom fireplace mantel to bring back historic details into the home. Not only does the home look amazing, but we brought back the Arts and Crafts design that had been stripped away over the years. The owner, Jack, was great to work with. He was able to turn some inspiration photos I had into reality and was helpful in thinking through projects to save time and money. He worked well with an interior designer I had also working on the house, and was able to bring in subcontractors when needed. Plus, my dog really liked him and would follow him around the house and Jack never had a problem with that!

Over the last three years we have done a major kitchen and living area renovation, added screen porch and mud room and then two subsequent projects; bathroom and laundry room. The investment is in the planning. Once we agreed on the vision, everything fell into place and stayed on budget. The real benefit is in the detail, millwork is outstanding and little finishing nuances you would never think of make the end result better than you could have envisioned. I like to hire a professional that listens to what I want but doesn't just give me what I asked for. Jack provides direction beyond what I could think of on my own. We will continue to be repeat clients, just like most of his client list
