We have worked with Julie for many years now, most recently on our condo in downtown Toronto and a vacation property. We could not be happier with the results. Julie is a true professional. Several years ago Julie guided us through a full gut of our condo to make the space functional and gorgeous. We so enjoyed working with her, that we turned to her for our second current project - a full gut and redesign of a retail space and apartment. She has delivered a perfect design for the apartment and we know she will do the same with the retail. This is a long overdue review dating back to when we first started working with Julie, for the design of our timber frame cottage (and future retirement dream home). It was a long build, and we continued to work on the extensive custom built-ins (courtesy of Final Touch Custom Millwork) and other decor and furniture items for quite sometime afterwards. Julie worked with us on every aspect of finishing too, from beginning to end. There are some people who find building or renovating stressful, but I loved it, and everything has been perfect. I can be quite particular until I find exactly what I want, and Julie was able to find or design it for me. She gave me much appreciated insight into the process, as I really like to know what's going on "behind the scenes". She was also able to incorporate many items that we already had and wanted to fit into the new cottage. Because we were eager to spend some of the summer there, we actually moved in before any of the basement was done, and several rooms still needed custom furniture. It was actually great to have the luxury of time to get everything just right, and to spend weekends there during the school year, and get a feel for how we were going to use the space with family and guests over time. Eight years later and we still love everything about it. Since then, we have also used Julie's services for many room by room renovations and upgrades at our Toronto home. We completely renovated our basement, installing heated floors with engineered wood, and extensive built-ins for the rec room, play room and exercise room. We added wainscotting to our entrance, stairwells and hallways, and installed a new fireplace surround with cabinets in our living room. We redesigned both of our kids bedrooms, as well as the spare room, added a new walk-in closet, renovated the laundry room, and upgraded our ensuite. Every 6 months to a year I came up with projects that we worked on one at a time, and we have been thrilled with the results every time. I would easily highly recommend her services to anyone.

We have had many projects and custom designed work with Julie Wakely. She is always professional and can adapt to all her clients needs and desires. I needed a statement wall in a large condo with 11 foot ceilings. One side of the main room was all windows, floor to ceiling. Julie works with amazing millworkers. A beautiful travertine fireplace with a linear fireplace insert and an inset TV was constructed. Julie also designed a floating hearth below with undermount lighting (beautiful in the evening) On either side were glass cabinets with wrought iron cremone closures and glass shelves. The final project was stunning.
