Designs by Karen

We recently decided to tear out a large soaking tub and replace it with a large shower, I contracted with our usual plumbing contractor and the tile store he uses. After the fact, we decided to change out the vanity counter and sink, trading laminate for quartz. The plumbing/tiling contractors did not handle quartz and recommeded I speak with Karen at Designs by Karen. She was so helpful and willing to work on a small job and help save the existing wallpaper which we didn't want to change, We expanded the job to include the upstairs guest bath, again wanting to save wallpaper. This job was a bit trickier. Karen took it all in stride. She was patient with our choosing quartz, worked with various subs to move/save existing mirrors and surfaces. She handled it all with aplomb. Because we could not be present during the installation, Karen met the contractors and supervised the work. That was wonderful! We are now considering a gut remodel of the half bath attached to a study. She will be the first person we call for ideas, materials, and supervision of the project. Thanks, Karen!

Karen and Janelle are wonderful to work with! We needed to redecorate our laundry room and saw that Designs by Karen had been a winner in the Readers' Choice awards for 2020 and we also got a referral to them from a granite/quartz dealer. They were able to meet with us right away to get our vision of what our laundry room means to us and to see "before" pictures. We wanted lots of storage with specialized cabinets for vacuum, shop vac, bird seed and a lazy Susan for extra canned food. We also had specific design needs like a separate roll-out platform for the washer and dryer. Karen and Janelle measured the laundry room and gave us visual designs on the computer so we could see their ideas and we could all tweak them. Cabinets were chosen, and delivery was right on time. They delivered them themselves! All in all, our laundry room is a show stopper and should be in featured in a magazine. I definitely will use Karen and Janelle when I need to have a bathroom remodel.

Karen assisted me with a Master Bathroom remodel. She utilized floor planning software to plan my project and ensure the proper sizing for the new cabinets. Karen provided solutions to issues, recommending the use of a cabinet to work as a laundry hamper with a cabinet door front. The cabinets arrived when Karen said they would and she even delivered them herself! I would highly recommend Karen for your project.

I have found Karen very professional and easy to work with. She quickly understands her clients goals, and has made it very easy for me and my clients to make selections and order products. After the order she follows up on all of the details to make sure the project gets completed efficiently and successfully.

Several of my friends recommended Designs by Karen when I was beginning to look for kitchen cabinets. She was such a pleasure to work with, never tried to upsell me (I was on a tight budget) and helped me pick out handles and pulls that really matched everything perfectly. She always kept me up to date on delivery times/dates and even unloaded the cabinets into my garage! She is truly an amazing person and really knows cabinetry.
