Living Space Landscapes

We selected Living Landscape because we wanted a company with an eye for Japanese landscaping design who could incorporate native plants, tolerant to our harsh winter climate (that are deer-resistant) to transform our front yard. We never met Scott, the owner, but I had a good experience communicating with Megan Trisko! She was very patient and responsive to our questions about the landscape design. We were not expecting it but were pleasantly surprised they managed to squeeze our project into their busy schedule last Fall. They completed our project in about 5 days during the first week of October last year. The design was lovely! We really like the beautiful trees they chose and planted--they were definitely of high quality from Gertens, which included Japanese White Pine, Mugo pines, Ice Dragon Maple trees! We also love the Superior Trap Boulders as part of the landscape. We have received compliments from several neighbors. However, since we requested for deer-resistant plants, we were surprised to discover some hostas were planted in the yard--we are looking forward for these to be replaced when Megan and crew promise to come out past Memorial Day to replace any dead plantings since they are warrantied for 1 year.

Megan and Scott were great to work with. Megan listened to our ideas/goals and designed a plan that we were happy with. Scott was able to adjust the landscaping plan on the fly when an unexpected obstacle was discovered. We were very happy with the outcome.

We worked with Living Space Landscapes on two projects. One was a sunken patio in our back yard and the other a re-landscaping of our front yard. Megan drew up the plans and was very flexible and open to our input. It felt like a truly collaborative process. Scott was the artist who brought the plans to reality. He and his crew showed up when scheduled, worked hard, and communicated clearly. We are extremely happy with the results. We enjoyed working with them and will definitely call them again for any future projects.

This past spring, we decided to update and freshen up the landscaping for the front of our home. We had 2 different landscapers provide designs and estimates, and ultimately chose Living Spaces. We are so glad we did! They took our wants and needs into consideration to provide a unique design that will have something blooming from spring into fall. I can't wait to see what it looks like as it fills in. The staff was professional, courteous, and thorough. They finished the job as estimated and cleaned up afterward, leaving behind nothing but a beautiful space for us to enjoy.

We were very fortunate to have discovered Living Space Landscapes. After producing a plan based on our specifications, one of their pros sat down with us and discussed every aspect of the scale, plants chosen, and final appearance (with just a couple of tweaks here and there), we were given a timeline that worked perfectly with our schedule. When they began, a couple of months later, a team of top notch professionals, again, walked us through what would be done, how and when, including coordinating with our deck builder, and work began almost immediately. All of the individuals who worked on the project could not have been more courteous and professional; always taking the time to make certain we were "okay" with everything. They took into consideration all of the details of a good-sized, outdoor project, both for us and our neighbors. They were an awesome team and worked incredibly hard to complete the project as promised (a rarity in this day and age). We are incredibly happy with the final product and must say the flagstone patio is beautiful! Scott is truly a master with flagstone and took a neglected piece of the garden and created a work of art. One of a kind.... I know we'll need more help in the future with other landscape projects we'd like to do and wouldn't think of using anyone else for our landscaping needs.

With the loss of both ash and pine trees, our front yard was barren except for a large power pole that became the focal point from the front door and windows. Our yard was in desperate need of three things -- screening from the power pole, shade from the Western sun and privacy from the street. Megan's plan addressed all of those needs perfectly in a fabulous design while also being pollinator/bird friendly and providing Spring colors. Not only were my immediate neighbors very complimentary, I also had people who were walking through the neighborhood stop with compliments. Two of the Living Space crew returned in late Fall and wrapped the trees, which was much appreciated. I highly recommend Living Space!

We are so happy with our front yard landscaping. We had several designs and bids for the project. Living Space Landscapes was the clear winner for so many reasons, including the design and their willingness to look at options and work with us as we tried to muddle through the process and figure out what we really wanted and needed. The demolition and removal of our old landscaping, concrete, bricks and our two 20-foot tall arborvitae was quickly and neatly executed. The designer and landscaping team then provided an attractive selection of plants, trees, mulch and paving stones to fill in the space beautifully. Detailed instructions on how to care for our new plants was provided. We recommend their work without hesitation and will definitely engage them for any future landscaping projects.

Scott did 2 projects for us — a stone patio and a rain garden. The final result is absolutely gorgeous. Scott and his crew are incredibly professional and did beautiful work. Recommend them without reservation.

We really enjoyed working with Megan. She and the team came up with a plan that not only supported our water issues, but created a beautiful and peaceful space to be. I was not sure how well a dry creek bed would look in our yard, but now it feels like we have our own private park. The crew was amazing. They were the hardest working team, attentive to all the details, and had some fun together. I’m glad we had this done in the summer so our kids could see them in action. So glad we went with this team. Highly recommend.

I wish I could give Scott and his team 6 stars - they not only did a great overall job, but were so attentive, respectful of the property and our neighbors, and thoughtful in some last minute adjustments to the plan. They completely excavated and redesigned our front and side yard in a narrow St. Paul lot. Meghan started the process with the consultation and design process. She is knowledgable, professional and prompt! She listened to our ideas, and incorporated thoughts sent later by email. She was honest about the timeline, and followed up when needed. Scott was fabulous when the installation started. His crew was on time and he oversaw every step of the process. We had many boulders already on our small city lot from a prior landscaping that had deteriorated with the prior owners. Scott thoughtfully removed half, and then repositioned most of the remaining ones to seem much more intergrated into the landscape. He clearly enjoys his work and was willing to share his knowledge with this amateur home gardener. They left the sidewalk and road thoroughly clean every day, and stowed their equipment so quietly and discretely you'd never know it was there. Finally, they worked hard and came in on budget and on the timeline they quoted. When a separate irrigator ruined part of the new sod just a couple weeks later, Scott, Miguel and his crew came over and promptly repaired the damage. I could not recommend them more. The compliments from the neighbors seem endless. They will be doing our back yard next year!

We worked with Megan last summer. She created a beautiful design based on our conversations. The crew was detail oriented and fast! We were able to enjoy our yard during the last days of summer. The design was aesthetically beautiful, while also addressing practical concerns with water management and incorporating areas for a large dog. The plants are all local and pollinator friendly. Our new patio is a thing of beauty - really revitalizes the garden and creates a setting for a new outdoor kitchen - workmanship is high quality (used select blue stone) and the construction crew is professional and incredibly hardworking, even on the hottest of hot days. Megan's design really suits our small backyard and accomplished everything we wanted: shaded seating area; water control at the back of the house; kitchen space; and hiding an a/c unit. Living Space Landscapes designed and installed a front yard update to blend in our new stone front stairs with our hill. With the use of plants, bushes and stone, they created a natural-looking, welcoming approach to our house that is interesting to look at and compliments our house beautifully. They are easy to work with, prompt and have lots of good advice. This is our second project with them and won’t be our last.

Working with Living Spaces Landscapes was a great experience at every stage. The design team worked with me to understand my inspirations and wants/needs, and their initial design perfectly captured my vision, but also included things I never would have thought of (like visual interest for every season). Several years ago, a friend of the family had some landscaping done by Living Space Landscapes and recommended them to me. My wife and I worked with them on a full-scale re-design of our back yard after I accidentally killed all our grass by over-fertilizing it. Whoops. Oh well, the backyard needed a lot of work anyway and this provided a good excuse for us to do it right. Scott Solomonson stopped by to discuss the project and listened carefully to our goals for the space and discussed our options. A few weeks later he provided us with a design, including a patio, and after some back and forth we decided to move forward with the project. Now, years later, we still couldn’t be happier. The plantings and trees have all grown in and it looks awesome! That summer and fall, and every spring, summer and fall since, our patio and backyard becomes our second living room. In the fall of 2020, we reached out to Scott again to do some landscaping in our front yard this this time. We wanted to add a sitting space and landscape the surrounding area. This time Megan stopped out to discuss the project, our goals, our budget and the timeline. After a few weeks she came by with the design and after some refinements and tweaks, we agreed to have the work done in the spring of 2021. As agreed, early that spring Scott and his awesome crew stopped by and again and did a great job! That was around 10 months ago now and we are really looking forward to being outside again as we watch another St. Paul, Minnesota winter melt into the Mississippi.

Megan was wonderful to work with on the design of our new hardscape and softscape areas. Helped us stay within budget and listened to what we were trying to accomplish. The crew who did the install was great - so hardworking and respectful! We changed our mind about a tree during install and they went out of their way to make this happen. We'd definitely recommend them and would hire them again.

Scott, Megan and their crew helped us landscape both our front and backyards. Megan was our first contact, finding out what we wanted, measuring space, and taking photos. She came back with beautiful plans for both front and back with the focus being the back yard that included scale drawings and photos of the proposed plants. All questions were answered promptly and professionally. We had to do a few plant substitutions due to availability, but the choices were explained. Scott did installation with his crew. They were a very professional hardworking crew. Scott’s design was more beautiful than anticipated. The space is carefully sculpted, and each boulder artfully placed. We’ve been very happy with the results. Fill plants were chosen after the initial installation and the selections were inspired by plants in our other gardens. We liked the work so much we went ahead and asked they do the front landscaping. This is equally beautiful. Scott listened to our concerns and modified the plan accordingly. He recommended a great paving company to rebuild our front walk and the finished product is beautiful. The crew was prompt, friendly and very tidy. Highly recommend!

Living Space Landscapes designed and installed a large bluestone patio surrounded by stone walls and raised gardens at my home. I cannot say enough about the whole design process. After the initial site review we worked together to come up with a beautiful plan. The designer was very receptive to my input and considered all the details necessary for a flawless installation. Any issue that came up during the installation was addressed immediately to my satisfaction. The workers were amazing; very hardworking and respectful and cleaned up after each day of work. After checking with several Landscape companies, we settled on Living Space Landscapes based on the quality of their renovation ideas and responsiveness to our questions. They were on site for two days; working hard, and making a few minor adjustments as things came up. The first task involved installing a dry river bed feature into our existing landscaping, carefully working around existing aspen tree roots, adding new edging and finishing with a beautiful mulch. This fixed an small erosion problem, limiting run-off into a nearby public park/pond. A secondary task involved extending our street-side perennial garden, eliminating the need to mow a steep slope, and adding a variety of plants for some beautiful seasonal color. Megan (designer) and Scott (Owner/Crew Lead) were fantastic to work with. They carefully listening to our ideas, and made some great design suggestions. We've gotten several complements from neighbors, and others walking by our home on there way to a nearby park entrance. We 100% recommend them.

We had Scott and his team do a blue stone path through our yard and absolutely love it! Also major mulching and edging. Our granddaughters love the fairy path that Scott did. We look forward to seeing the yard in the Spring. We will be calling them when we need some work in the Spring.

Living Space Landscapes deserves every five star it gets. We needed to redo our backyard landscaping and had two very specific needs, one being drainage and the second one a young dog that chews/eats everything. We needed to use only non-toxic plantings. We chose Living Space Landscapes over two other bids. Megan, their designer and the owner, Scott did excellent research in order to meet those needs. In addition to an absolutely gorgeous and functional result, we found both Megan and Scott to be very responsive to our needs throughout the entire process. They provided excellent customer service. Their project manager, Patrick, was on-site every day and the crew was exceptional. The project was completed on time. We can’t wait to see them again this coming summer to redo our front yard.

I met with a landscape specialist (Megan Trisko) from Living Space Landscapes . She visited my home first to see the situation and to find out my interests. She drew up a landscape plan for my husband and I to look over and approve. We were pleased with the plan and set a date for mid-Sept. to have the work done. On the appointed date the work crew came and worked for 3 days making the plan a reality. The crew worked efficiently and worked well together and carried out the original plan. They even added a few more plants they thought were needed. We were very pleased with the results. The crew worked well together and cleaned up after themselves. The cost of the project was within our budget. We were surprised and pleased that Scott Solomonson , the owner of Living Spaces Landscapes, worked with his crew on our project. In the future if we need anymore landscaping done in the area or any other place, we would definitely return to the services of Living Space Landscapes.

The Living Space Landscape team is impressive!! We had zero landscaping at our house and they totally transformed the space in 4.5 days which included a stone front patio and landscaping on every side of the house. I really enjoyed working with Scott, Megan and the rest of the crew. They were very organized, professional and responsive. This was a large project including a new stone patio and new landscaping in the front yard. It turned out beautifully! We love everything they did. The whole crew were an absolute pleasure to work with and they stand by the quality of their work. With last summer bringing extreme heat and drought a couple of the new plants didn't make it. They were immediately replaced with no hassle on my part, at all. They were on time, fast and friendly. Communication was excellent and they always responded quickly to my questions. We found Scott and team online while searching for Japanese inspired landscape inspiration. I found Megan and her crew after having a terrible experience trying to get a project started on our small backyard with another company. I was extremely satisfied with their professionalism and knowledge, and she put together a beautiful plan for our backyard which included adding a patio where grass won't grow, new sod, and fresh landscaping. Great experience, would absolutely recommend!

Living Space Landscapes were unbelievably easy to work with: from design to completion. The crew was very friendly, professional, and exceptionally tidy--all qualities I really value. The end result is a gorgeous and unique look filled with native plants for both the front and back lawns that nestles well into our small city lot. We couldn't be happier!

My project included building up the dirt line around the house to move water away. Watching projects around my neighborhood, I really liked what I saw. Megan came out and developed a really interesting design, including a plan to add a patio at a later date. The crew came in early October and cleared everything, with the expectation that they would finish the project in the next few days. However, it snowed 9” the next day and stayed really cold. The crew was finally able to come back on October 30 and completed the entire project (build-up, edging and planting around 3 sides of the house and edging and mulching under 3 large pine trees) in about half a day. Things look great, and they completely cleaned up before they left. Even though things are pretty much dormant right now, I have received a lot of compliments about the layout - visual variety always. Working with Megan and Scott and their crew was very easy. They already checked in about the project when it got warm after the snow and have indicated they will be back in the spring to ensure that everything survived the winter. My project is exactly what I wanted. Can hardly wait to see everything in full bloom in the spring. You can’t go wrong working with Scott and Megan and their crew.

We hired Living Space Landscapes to replace a wood retaining wall with a boulder outcropping wall in the style of the North Shore. Megan responded to my request for ideas and a quote right away and helped facilitate contact with another landscape company for a proposal on a water feature. Before the installation, I was concerned about access due to a dumpster in my driveway on another construction project. Scott stopped out on a Saturday morning to evaluate the site for access and the dumpster was no problem. I really do appreciate their timely response to my requests and concerns. I’m very pleased on how the project turned out as it looks so much better that a wood retaining wall and leaves so many possibilities on how to landscape around the area.

We had Living Space Landscapes help with a small backyard patio and landscaping project earlier this year. The team was fun to watch. Energetic, fast and efficient! A very easy team to work with.

Living Space Landscapes was easy to work with from the first phone call I made to them. Megan came out to see an area on a sidehill where I had dead Junipers. She wrote up a comprehensive contract. Their work crew came out as expected and completed the job in about ten hours as promised. The crew were very careful of the surrounding areas as they removed the Junipers and planted 26 new Juniper plants. Upon their completion the area looked great, and I even got compliments from neighbors about their work. I have another job coming up later this year and plan to contact them for a bid on this job.

We cannot say enough good things about, Scott, Megan and the whole crew at Living Space Landscapes. They are fantastic! We first met Scott at the St. Paul Home & Garden Show.. We told him about the home we've owned for more than 25 years and how grass had become impossible to grow, as the tree covered hillside in our back yard had grown to where no sunlight never reached the ground. We wanted to have something green in our yard again, with little or no maintenance. We were very impressed with Scott's experience and expertise. Megan came up with a wonderful plan, designed to once again provide us with a beautiful yard. As the project was about to begin, an unexpected challenge forced us to postpone our plans for an unknown period of time. Scott very graciously returned our deposit. After three years, we were ready to resume the work. Megan and Scott remembered us, and pulled out our original plans. We made a few revisions, and the day finally came for Living Space Landscapes to go to work. They communicated with us everyday during the project, with Scott being on site guiding a hard working crew to get every detail completed as we planned. Megan conducted a walk through after all the plants, trees and landscape rocks were installed, to make sure we were happy and understood how our new green yard would grow. We already love our new yard and look forward to enjoying it for years. We would highly recommend Living Spaces Landscapes!

We were very pleased with the landscape projects completed by Living Space Landscapes at our home. We have used them for two different landscape projects now. Megan was excellent during the design phase and adapted/tweaked the plans based on our feedback. One of the projects had the complexity of an underground pipeline and overhead power lines that had to meet specific requirements of Xcel and the pipeline company. They worked seamlessly with all involved to meet the requirements. The second project involved a total revamp of our backyard. Again, Megan was great with design. Scott and crew were wonderful in all phases. Scott was excellent --- he is very personable and easy to work with. He listens closely to questions/concerns and adapts as needed.

It was so much fun for my mom as the crew buzzed about. She knew they were working on a Mother's Day surprise, but wasn't at an angle to see exactly what was happening. Her eyes sparkled! The crew did a beautiful job. I told Miguel that Mom's yard looks like a park. So attractive and aesthetically pleasing for my mom to gaze upon. You all made her smaller world a bit brighter and bigger today. And the red mulch really sets things off. I can't say enough about the crew. Miguel is a consummate gentleman, and the other lads as well. So polite, respectful, hard working, and with senses of humor. Miguel made sure that everything was executed just as I had expected. Exceeded my expectations. And you are such a joy to work with - so knowledgeable, patient and thorough. I had received a few other bids, but it was clear that Living Landscapes was the ticket.

Over the years we have had Living Landscapes do numerous yard landscaping projects. As always the work and design results have been outstanding in all respects. Scott and his crew are wonderful to work with and are very detail oriented to please the customer and complete the project per specifications on time!! Megan, Scott and the full team did an awesome job with our backyard landscape project. They wrapped up just as the early Oct snow was falling so we are excited to see the many plants and bushes bloom in the spring. Megan and Scott did a wonderful job helping us design several different gardens for our entire property. We started with 2 larger gardens in the back and look forward to future projects. Scott and the team were flexible and great to work with onsite even adding an additional swiss pine tree at our request and moving things around a bit as the plan unfolded. Hopefully the bunnies and squirrels will behave and allow everything to bloom in the spring as planned!

Living Space turned a garden with a drainage problem into my favorite garden area by creating a beautiful dry creek curving through it. My plants are blooming around the rocks and rain makes it beautiful instead of washing the garden out. This is the second project they've done for me, and Megan and crew have been wonderful to work with. They leave the project cleaned up and ready for creative gardening.

Our house is 30 years old and we had to remove a large, mature tree that had a root system near the surface, damaging the lawn and potentially the foundation. Tree removal left a large area that swept from the front of the house around to the west side, providing an opportunity to use some creativity to give our home more curb appeal. A large nursery we visit for our landscape needs recommended Living Space and they turned out to be the exact resource we needed for a creative approach. The process started with a plan at a nominal cost to us and with a little back-and-forth we knew exactly what to expect. The plan was creative and included some design elements we had never before considered, for example, a narrow, dry, rocked riverbed that snakes through the landscape, a berm for some elevation, and 6-7 flat-topped boulders. With 50-60 perennials and a few small trees, the results are stunning and we have received many compliments. Living Space did a great job, minimized damage to the surrounding areas, and completed their work exactly within the timeframe they projected. We wouldn't hesitate to work with them again when presented with additional landscape challenges.

We began working with Living Space Landscapes (LSL) as a referral from our regular grounds maintenance team. We were preparing to undergo a whole house remodel and wanted to ensure that on completion, the exterior landscaping was up to date as well. LSL spent time with us listening to our likes/dislikes of the current layout, our goals for being in and moving through the outdoor areas, our maintenance abilities and/or limitations, and problems we were experiencing with drainage and run off. They were able to provide a tailored design that included plantings we loved, plantings that were new to us, and provided and implemented a great solution for our drainage issue. LSL was enjoyable to work and communicate with. They provided great referrals (ex. pond area that needed to be redone), worked seamlessly with all of our vendors - builder, arborist, irrigation, etc., and we felt that they treated our property with great respect during the entire process. We also appreciated that Scott (owner) and Megan (designer) stayed involved throughout the process, both being onsite often during installation. The end result has been a beautiful and unique landscape that we are excited to enjoy for years to come. We have since had them do a second project and are planning a third for next year. They warranty their work and the plants which was important to us given the size and scope of our property and projects. Will continue to work with LSL and highly recommend their services.

We hired Living Space Landscapes to refurbish two badly overgrown, neglected gardens and install flagstone paths. Working with Megan, Scott and crew was a great experience. Everything went smoothly from the first consultation to project completion and beyond. I am enamored with weeping plants and also wanted to incorporate nectar-rich plants for pollinators and the plan they came up with was perfect. We tweaked the plan as the work progressed with no problems. Their crew was friendly and easy to work with and they stood behind their work, replacing a few plants that were not doing well. We get so many compliments from people who come over and we couldn't be happier. Now if it would only weed itself!!!

Meghan was great to work with. She was usually able to take my phone calls right away and got back to me quickly on emails. Scott and his crew worked efficiently and we are very pleased with the results. Everyone was so friendly and professional.

Our landscaping and front yard were aged and in poor shape. Fixing it was going to be a big job! We worked with Megan to design a plan to refresh our landscaping. She was very helpful and easy to work with. She understood what we were looking for and made a great proposal. When Scott and his crew showed up to do the work we were immediately impressed. His equipment was new and in good shape. Scott was very nice and patient in answering our questions and concerns. Scott was also very creative and able to help us improve on our plan as the project progressed. Scott even brought us fresh strawberries that he had picked in his garden one morning when he arrived on the job site. Scott's crew was also great. They were clean cut and polite just like Scott. Megan and Scott were great to work with! Our condo association wanted to improve our curb appeal, yet have a low maintenance front yard. Megan came up with a plan and graciously made some tweaks to satisfy the desires of our members. This company is top-notch! We worked with Megan on our landscape design for a large backyard area. We had very specific requests we wanted to be met and she had fantastic ideas and if we were interested in something that wouldn't be a good fit for the space, sunlight, or soil she was able to explain to us why she wouldn't recommend it. We made several revisions throughout the process and it took us a while before we actually pulled the trigger and moved forward, but we never felt rushed or neglected along the way - she was patient the entire time. Once Scott and his crew came onsite to do the installation they were excellent. The entire crew was very professional, got right to the task at hand every day and we were amazed how quickly they finished. Even our neighbors commented on what a great crew they were. We are very happy with the end result - it's even better than we had envisioned. They were right on budget and on time. We even asked for Scott's advice on the spot for a different area in our yard at the landing of our deck steps and he understood our vision and over delivered on what he was able to find and install. Scott always has great visions, and then with his wonderful and dedicated team makes those visions a reality. We have known him for 8 years. All of our projects have been a huge success. Once the project is started, it is finished quickly and everything is cleaned up perfectly. We have enjoyed watching his business grow and working with him.

We are very pleased with the results from Living Space Landscapes. We had some thoughts about what we wanted, but Scott came over and spent hours getting an idea about what we were looking for, making suggestions on the layout and the plants. He came over again, right before the project started, and spent more time to confirm what we were looking for. We were thrilled with the changes! We took out some overgrown pines in the front and replaced them with smaller trees, creating a different look and bringing in SIGNIFICANTLY more light in the front of our northern facing house. We altered the edging and now the garden feels more open and graceful. His team replaced a dying tree along the side and added 5 trees to the back (plus tons of plants and mulch), softening the look of the back yard edges while leaving ample open space for the kids and dogs. Hopefully everything will survive the winter, but if not, he guaranteed the trees for 12 months. We're very pleased and love the new look.

Last summer my husband and I had the opportunity to work with Living Space Landscapes. We had a fairly small project in our backyard that needed professional help. Our experience with this company was extremely positive staring with a quick response to our first message. Shortly thereafter, Megan Trisko came over to evaluate the project and offer a plan. She was respectful of our ideas and yet had her own creative twist on the details. She was prompt, thorough and friendly as well as very knowledgeable about the different varieties of flowers and bushes. The work was completed early this fall when Scott and his three man crew came out to do the heavy lifting of multiple large landscape rocks. This was completed within the predicted time frame and within the estimated costs. We have to wait until spring to see the beautiful blooms in progress, but so far, we would highly recommend this landscape company.

This year was the 2nd time we hired Living Space Landscapes. Five years ago we had extensive work done in our backyard. In November we had the front of our house torn out and replanted. Once again we are very pleased with the outcome. Scott and his team are knowledgeable. I know very little about landscaping. I told him what we were hoping for and I believe it will be great fun next spring/summer to see what we have!

This was not your usual landscaping job. Yes we wanted nice landscaping, but we had a HUGE water problem in the back yard. After 20 years our rain tile was not functioning as it should. We were getting water too close to the house after the rain. Scott and Megan came up with a great plan to have the water move to the side of the house as it should. The crew was professional and friendly. The job included 4 rain tile lines and 4 rain boxes. This also included trees, bushes, rock (boulders). The landscape is beautiful and the water stays away from the house. A replacement retaining wall was added to the project. Everything took a month. Everyone was here everyday for 4 weeks.

We were extremely pleased with Living Spaces! They did a complete landscape facelift. Their quality of work and professionalism was exceptional. We have had strangers stop and ask who our landscape company is!

Scott and his team just finished a second project for us. This one was for our front yard. Last year he did a makeover of almost our whole back yard. Both projects were done on time and on budget. Most importantly, both turned out beautifully. He's got a great eye and an attention to detail. Both times he and his staff cleaned up the site and left hardly a trace that they were even there. I would highly recommend his services.

We hired Scott to re landscape our south Minneapolis front yard after losing shade from 3 cut down boulevard trees. Scott developed a plan to give us a wonderful view from the living room, give us more privacy, included a dry stream bed, and kept the area near the house open for relaxing. Last year he developed a plan for our back yard where we can entertain and relax. We explained we wanted a Japanese style garden in honor of my spouse's year as a foreign exchange student in Japan. We could not be more pleased.

I had many erosion problems and then new landscaping and Scott was the best choice for me. He was referred to me from my favorite nursery and I was not disappointed. We walked the yard and talked several times about should be done and he listened, corrected all the erosion problems, and the new gardens/landscaping plantings are beautiful. Scott does everything himself and we talked about how an admin assistant could really help that side of his business and give him more time to focus on design and scheduling. I was amazed that he got my big job done in 4 days. Even better, he'll do ongoing maintenance to keep it looking fabulous.

Scott and his crew did extensive work for me last year in my gardens. I could not have been more pleased with the work they did. Scott was able to take my ideas and design just the type of space I had in mind. For one thing, I wanted an area in my back woods for a firepit. The area built is beautiful and I always get great comments from visitors to my garden about it. He as a joy the work with through the entire process.

I've used Scott and his crew on 3 occasions to design, plant and build landscape areas and terrace features. His work is impeccable, plant choices and knowledge superb. He stands behind his work and has replaced a couple of plants even when they were outside of warranty periods. He always meets budget goals and time completion promises. I'm sure I'll hire him again when the need arises.

I brought Scott in for expertise on planting and landscaping a large portion of my property that had been a tremendous struggle for decades. The combination of 60% shade and acidic soil from the canopy of pine trees in the area had stymied us for decades. Scott was able to develop a plan that incorporated the existing landscape and elements of my other gardens from around the property while also creating something beautiful and unique. My 4 year old grand daughter now asks to come over and play in that space, she calls it "magic land". Scott and his team, were exceptionally professional and polite, always showing up on time, communicating promptly if there were any change in plans or schedule, and despite a few changes at my request they were able to stay under budget. Scott provided and planted numerous trees, bushes, and small plants; as well as shaping earth and moving boulders to create a dry riverbed. The funny thing is I have never been a huge fan of dry riverbeds, but the one Scott built for us is amazing. I can't say enough good things about these guys, I would recommend them to family and friends.

I live in an unusual limestone house and had a wild thicket along the west side of the little hilled forest in front. I gave Scott a budget and three suggestions: "I lived in Greece and liked the tall, thin cyprus trees next to the stone walls." I remember hollyhocks along the alley as a child." "I would like a wild rose bush near the front stone gate." After days of excavating old walls, introducing a stone stream bed-like effect for the gutter and getting rid of a crappy old fence, I came home late on the 4th day and looked at what was going on. Tears came to my eyes. The space was transformed. Nothing looked new - he had found old matching stone to brace the hillside, planted and mulched beautifully so it look like a magic garden belonged next to my house and forest. The space is next to a public walkway and I am sure more than 50 people have stopped and thanked me for the magical landscaping. Don't micro-manage Scott - let him do his thing for results better than you dreamed possible. He is an artist. His crew is friendly and hardworking. I would not work with anyone else ever again.

Scott, the owner, guided us through re landscaping our entire yard after we completed an extensive home remodel. He helped us select an interesting variety of plantings that provided color throughout the seasons. One of the best things about Scott is that he personally is on site every day working with his skilled team. Therefore, there was no miscommunication between what we had planned on versus what was installed. Scott also come back, unasked, after one year and replaced any of the plantings that didn't flourish. I would highly recommend Scott and his team.

Scott and his team exceeded our expectations for our front-yard makeover. Scott has a keen design eye, particularly for incorporating Japanese inspired elements into the garden. We were a bit nervous hiring an artist who did not have a complete itemized plant list, however it's the creative flexibility that we believe led to a truly unique and wonderful garden. Many of the individual plantings and boulders were hand-picked for our specific home. We also loved that there was one connection point throughout the entire process. This is not a company that hands off the design to a different person to install. Scott's calendar was very full and it was difficult to nail down when he would be available to begin the work. However, once you have him on-site, you have his full attention until the job is done to your satisfaction. We would highly recommend working with Living Space Landscapes.
