Louis L'artisan

Wow! This is how my wife and I would describe the work, service and end product that we received from Louis L’Artisan on our most recent project. Our journey picked up steam in the spring 2022, when we were advised to check out Louis L’Artisan, a company unknown to us, situated in Bourget Ontario. They set us up with their designer and allowed us to do as much of the work that we felt comfortable doing in this renovation / kitchen project. They started the project on the agreed upon date, were on budget and on time. As with any project of this nature, issues arose and Louis L’ Artisans provided us with concrete and practical options and solutions. To the designer, Melanie, their employees Denis, Simon, Luc, their sub-trades (plasterers, electricians, plumbers, tyle workers), we say a very heartfelt thank you. We have nothing but praise for Louis L’artisan. We needed a complete new kitchen as we were going to gut the old one. We were put in contact with Louis L’artisan by our contractor who was going to do everything else from new flooring, electrical and plumbing, so we used the company for both the design and construction phase. The designer, Marie-France, was fabulous; after listening to our ideas and preferences, she did an initial outline with already some very innovative features for the kitchen; after that we finalized it at their office where we could immediately choose all the necessary aspects right there from the type of material to the paint colour to type of handles and other small features, all with her expert guidance and taste. After we approved the design, the installation was equally impressive. Coordinating perfectly with our contractor, the installers came on the exact day as agreed and finished the work in less than three days with hardly any issues. The installers were like a well-oiled machine who were very friendly, professional and efficient. The very few small issues which were encountered during the installation were fixed in follow up, which again was timely, friendly and efficient; even a couple of issues about which we had changed our mind were addressed there and then. We had a high degree of confidence dealing with this company throughout the process. The final product is a high quality, efficient and timelessly beautiful kitchen that we’ll use and love forever. All in all, we would recommend Louis L’artisan very highly to anyone who is thinking about kitchen renovations.

We had a wonderful experience with Marissa and Louis L'artisan on the renovation of our den. We initially approached the company with a full design prepared by a pair of designers but over the course of the project, considerable changes were made to the layout, material, and scope. Marissa was unfailingly patient and helpful as we debated various details and at the end of the day we are ecstatic with the results. When we visited the company in Bourget, Marissa gave us a tour of the manufacturing facility and what we saw was very reassuring. This company is small but completely self-contained with design, manufacturing, and installation all handled in-house. The installation took four experienced staff two full days and their competence was evident: they worked steadily, confidently, and tidily. We will not hesitate to engage Marissa and Louis L'artisan for future work. I will post additional pictures when the lights are installed and the shelves are occupied. (Right now, I am still unpacking boxes of books. :))

We just finished our kitchen renovation project with Louis L'artisan after a recommendation by our local handyman service. We had to fix some issues with a previous renovation by another company, and are really happy with the results. The initial consultation with Melanie Benoit was excellent, she quickly understood what needed to be done and gave excellent advice. She and Denis spent a long time meticulously measuring up the job so that when the teams arrived to install, everything fit like a glove The teams of workers were super efficient, arrived on schedule and did a complete clean up each day. This was a good experience all around and we would highly recommend Louis L'artisan- "Its worth the trip to Bourget."

My wife and I had a truly wonderful experience with Louis L'artisan and in particular with our Designer - Marissa B. From the moment I first called to initiate our kitchen project vision through to completion, Marissa provided the most professional design support to navigate a significant kitchen remodel. The finished product exceeded our expectations from the exceptional quality of the cabinets to the precision of the installation all enabled through Marissa's keen eye for colour, materials and space. I would highly recommend Louis L'artisan if you want a truly remarkable custom kitchen coupled with a truly remarkable overall experience by a team that really puts quality and the customer first.

Yes highest recommendation. Starting from Melanie the designer to all the workers. I had complete renovation of two bathrooms. From new walls, plumbing and electrical work. Work started on November 3 and was completed as estimated in 6 weeks. Owner came several times to check progress. Job was completed only when I was 100 percent satisfied. A big plus was that they are all bilingual. Thank you for job well done. I was most happy.

The designer created my dream kitchen. The job was completed on time. Everyone was friendly and a pleasure to deal with. We had them do our powder room as well and it is gorgeous In my opinion they are the best!!

Excellent work! Marie France you took the worry of doing a long distance (Calgary to Ottawa) renovation project. You worked so well with our local project manager to transform an older condo to a livable shown piece. Although I knew what I generally wanted, your attention to detail, respect for my ideas, knowledge of products and overall professionalism made it so much easier to make changes and decisions. I would gladly recommend you and your firm to anyone who asks.

The designer listened to our concerns, wishes and budget. She provided ideas and made suggestions. She designed our new kitchen that surpassed our expectations. Choices of counters, cupboards, handles, backpsplash and flooring can be overwhelming but they took all the time we needed to help make our choices to fit our style, our home and all within our price range. We weren't rushed or pushed to choose things. A time table was established for the kitchen reno and was completely followed. The workers were curtious and very professional. After the work was completed, our designer returned to look at the finished kitchen and see how we enjoyed our new fabulous kitchen. A door didn't close properly, and was fixed immediately. Strongly recommend Louis L'artisan for their excellent staff, their knowledge and their superior attention to detail and quality. Wanted simply to redo our kitchen but instead we received the kitchen of our dreams. Louis L'artisan makes your dreams come true.

Anyone in the Ottawa area who wants a 'dream like' as seen on TV type of kitchen with beautiful, functional and durable custom cabinetry in their kitchen should make the worthwhile drive to this storehouse/work shop. My wife and I were warmly received, listened to and HEARD (not just sold on anything) and able to work well with Julie (design staff) for the kitchen design we wanted and could not have imagine a BETTER looking product. Our kitchen is remarkable thanks to you guys.

I still remember all the wonderful magic you guys created, designed and installed. From the moment of inception right to the end at delivery, you were the nicest, friendliest most professional, and above all , courteous people. You functioned like a well oiled machine, performed like trained professionals, and treated each other, and us like family! I hope to see you guys again soon! I went to Louis L'artisan for a design and renovation of my kitchen. I had a couple of ideas, and the ones they suggested and products they recommended were perfect. The staff were readily available and nothing went over budget without checking with the client. Their time frame was right on, all workers seemed friendly and efficient, and the few things that needed a follow-up were completed quickly.

Excellent services, found solutions to make my kitchen more functional and in respect to the general look and feel of the house. After completed it felt like it was always part of the house. Work done was excellent and in time.

We are extremely happy with the results provided by Louis L'Artisan, who was hired twice for major renovations to our kitchen, laundry room and three bathrooms!!! Their professionalism was displayed throughout the entire phases of the projects. Denis listened attentively to our needs and preferences and surprised us with a state of the art concept for our kitchen. Although redesigned eleven years ago, we are still enjoying the concept and the efficiency of our kitchen as well as the quality of the cabinetry. Our three bathrooms renovated about five years ago, maintain that brand new feeling and are equally enjoyable. The timelines for the installation and completion of all our renovations were respected beyond any reproach. We highly recommend Louis L'artisan to anyone seeking quality products and services!

Working with Marie-France Castonguay and the team at Louis L'Artisan was nothing but a pleasant experience and one I will gladly repeat. Marie-France was patient with me as a made multiple changes during the design phase and it never seemed to be a problem. The showroom is small but the choice of materials is massive. Thank God she was able to guide me through the choices quite quickly and well suited to my tastes. We had decided that we wanted to do the demolition and the flooring ourselves to save some money, and that they would take care of the rest. They had no problem with that. It would be worked into the schedule. At the one-month-before-installation mark, I was given a schedule of the work - when the electrician would be in, and the plumber, HVAC, cabinets, etc. To my great surprise, when I called Marie-France to say that we were a day ahead of schedule on our demo & floor install, she managed to move ALL the trades up in the schedule! Each team that came into our home treated us and our home (and our dog!) with respect. When small problems would arise, they were quick to come up with a solution. Carpets were laid out to protect my floors from getting damaged, they kept the place clean while working, and they were very organized. I am completely satisfied with the quality of the craftsmanship and the workmanship of my kitchen and powder room. On top of being courteous, respectful and providing a quality product, this team knows how to deliver on time and on budget! Merci à toute l'équipe Louis L'Artisan. My husband and I hired Louis L'artisan for a complete kitchen renovation earlier this year and worked with Lisa Poirier, one of their experienced designers. Lisa is a great collaborator, and the team from Louis are wonderful. Everyone respected the timetable, and all of the trades on the project were absolute professionals. We selected Louis L'artisan after a very long search to find a company that could create cabinetry of the highest quality. Finding Lisa to work with was an unexpected bonus. She was a great listener and was always available to deal with any concerns as they popped up. We plan to engage both Lisa and Louis L'artisan again for an upcoming dining room project. We can recommend them both without any reservations.

This is the third house renovation that Louis and his excellent team have completed for us. His expertise, attention to detail, calm and friendly manner was so appreciated. His team is very efficient, humorous and work well together. He even has the same carpenter that worked on our first renovation in 1993...now that says a lot about an employer. We were also impressed at Louis presence on site, as we are 2 hours away. We are extremely happy with the excellent quality work that Louis has done in our dream home on the water. Louis L'artisan's renovation of our kitchen was a wonderful experience. We were truly impressed with this company. Their professionalism and quality assurance was outstanding. From the design process right to installation we felt like we were a priority for them. Everyone we encountered were very respectful and accommodating. The actual installation of our new kitchen was truly impressive. They arrived when they said they would and the entire process was completed in 2 days including the installation of granite countertops. The cabinet installers were respectful of our home and cleaned up after themselves. They appeared to take pride in what they were doing. I definitely would recommend this company!

Excellent workmanship. Louis L'artisan was reliable, conscientious and easy to work with. The quality and finished product surpassed our expectations. Well worth it .

Having seen the kitchens of 2 friends that had used Louis l'Artisan, I knew it was the company I wanted, no reservations whatsoever. My designer, Marie-France, was such a good listener and accepted my preferences as her own. When choosing cabinets, counters, etc. she narrowed the choices based on my preferences or I'd be there still, trying to decide. Louis uses nothing but the best materials and takes such pride in his work. The team that renovated the kitchen were perfectionists and I love every square cm. Every time I enter the kitchen, I glow. I have a great photo but can't see how to upload.

The project was in the 40K range. From the moment we met with Marie-France, the designer, we felt we were in good hands. She gave us a contemporary design and look which are beautiful and soft. she suggested a natural walnut and we are very pleased that we took her suggestion. It is just the look we were looking for. Also, we saved a lot of time and errors by being able to select all the products at their shop: from the handles, back splash, granite counter, to the kitchen sink. Furthermore, we were able to see the entire look, right in their shop, in Bourget, Ontario. Louis L'Artisan is a company that is well organized, with professional, competent and efficient tradesmen. They respected the schedule, respected our budget and stayed within it. Their teams work well together and they take great pride in their work. I highly recommend Louis L'Artisan; we are so happy with the look and products of our kitchen. And we are grateful that the project went smoothly, worry and stress free.
