Paul and his crew did a great job on the kitchen remodel including, flooring, countertops, and backslash. He went the extra with trimming out the baseboards and figuring out a way to trim out a step into a recessed living room. They also rebuilt shed doors and replaced a couple of rotting panels on the shed along with some concrete work on my front porch. Great job!!

Paul Sponsel (Design One Contractors) not only does excellent work but he is very honest and dependable. He also helped answer many other questions we had in regards to home repairs and left us with great peace of mind. I strongly recommend Paul in any home improvement repair work!

I am an avid reader of the Houzz for remodel ideas. I discovered Design One Contractors thru an advertisement in the Catholic Advance. I called Paul Sponsel and scheduled an appointment right away. I had previously printed out a photo idea from the Houzz in order to show Paul what I had in mind for my backyard covered patio concept. The existing patio was a concrete slab which was ponding water and I really wanted to begin entertaining and building my home based business. What started with an idea from the Houzz of a basic roof ,ceiling fans, lights, newly poured concrete patio floor and a brick ledge 3 ' wall surrounding the patio, comfortable, cool and inviting; ended up with a newly poured concrete patio floor, vaulted ceiling, brick pillars with ribbons to match my existing brick home, ceiling fans, lights, no 3' wall; just openness to the outdoor view. Paul took my idea from the Houzz and transformed it into a retreat from the stress and daily anxiety of daily living; a comfortable, intriguing atmosphere for entertaining, holding meetings, and gatherings of friends and family. All work was performed within my budget. The timeline( weather permitting) began with a signed proposal August 13,, 2011 and was completed January 23rd, 2012 with an executed lien release (standard construction procedure) which Paul gladly provided. I didn't have to worry about having to be at my home while the improvements were being performed. I had hoped the project would complete sooner, however, I live in Kansas and weather is known to be an element of surprise. I love my patio, and would not hesitate to hire Design One Contractors LLC again. The value of my home has increased substantially due to the improvements performed. Work performed by Design One Contractors LLC is a rewarding investment.

this has been an excellent home repair/remodel experience We hired Design One to seal a leaking basement wall, reinforce two basement walls that were badly cracked and damaged, correct a drainage problem that was contributing to the water problem and repair and finish our basement. From when he came out to do the quote all the way through the entire process Paul has been polite, professional, and informative. i felt he really listened to our concerns and needs and worked within our budget yet producing amazing results. he repaired the foundation and rebuilt the basement. his concern for how the finished product would look went beyond what we expressed. His workers were AMAZING. Polite, and extremely conscientious about the quality of the job and their cleanliness and care for our home was greatly appreciated. i would have no problem referring them to anybody.

I was very impressed with the depth of knowledge and skills company exhibited while performing roofing, siding repair, a completed repaint and window repair.
