Richard Ruddick Architecture has one clear aim; to produce inspired architecture. Founded in 2014, we use our considerable experience and expertise to consider everything from the architecture, interior design, landscaping, the wider context, and energy efficiency of the finished project. Through constant dialogue and design development, we ensure that the architecture we create is individually tailored to maintain and surpass the client’s aspirations; we are able to carefully balance designs with commercial and economic issues to ensure the constraints of time, cost can be met without compromising quality. We dedicate our time to establishing a comprehensive brief and approach and take a holistic approach to the design process and development in order to produce buildings with real architectural merit; all of which have our ethos at their heart. Our home is in the heart of the creative quarter of Newcastle upon Tyne, The Ouseburn Valley, known for its quirkiness, its bustling and flourishing creative networks, it provides the ideal place for an architectural practice. Our talented studio team are encouraged to be themselves and express their individuality in their architecture. The team’s diversity creates a culture where everyone listens and learns from each other, ensuring knowledge and expertise is openly shared. The team’s knowledge of many different types of architecture and cultural trends enables us to produce fully integrated design solutions that are progressive, uplifting in use, and effective to operate. We carry out work throughout the UK and have extensive experience working on a range of projects, from bespoke residential commissions with build costs of £50,000+ to large scale educational and commercial buildings in excess of £30 million.
