We used Jo and team for a small permitted development extension at the rear of our house, plus the renovation of the rest of our 3 bedroom property. We were clueless as to how an extension and renovation project should work, and JTA held our hand, helping us with our drawings, finding a builder, sorting out Building Control processes and project managing throughout. We couldn't have completed our project without their help - thanks Jo.

Jo and her team put together a professional set of existing and proposed drawings for the refurbishment of our grade 2 listed house in Deal. This included researching suitable products for the exterior finishes and roof coverings, so that the listed Building Consent could be obtained without difficulty. Their building knowledge and architectural design skills are excellent and they have a good understanding of Building Regulations and local authority Planning requirements. I don't hesitate to recommend Jo Townshend Architect Ltd.

Jo and her team drew up the plans for my single storey full width kitchen extension, dealt with the minefield of planning applications, fully briefed my builder throughout the build and sorted out a tricky issue with drains and Thames Water. Jo, and staff member Joe, were a pleasure to work with - they were enthusiastic, cheerful and had a can-do attitude and most crucially, they listened carefully to what I wanted to achieve and whilst offering lots of ideas and suggestions for things I might not have considered, really did stick to the brief and respected my budget. I didn't feel they were imposing ideas I didn't want and I felt they were really good at working sympathetically with my late Victorian house. I was very pleased with their work and got the extension I wanted and one that works for the whole family.
