Dynamic and ingenious Suzanne Duin is an established Houston based ASID Interior Designer and owner of Maison Maison Antiques. She acquired her firm GB Design, Inc. after her mother's retirement and with her innate talent evolved the company into a reflection of the chic innovation that makes it unique within the industry. Her design studio, situated above the Maison Maison showroom, is where she creates individual styles that are an expression of her clients' lives and interests. Suzanne's residential practice and showroom are known for their distinct combinations of hand selected European antiques from her travels abroad and clever reinventions of peculiar objects. The fondness she possesses for past centuries craftsmanship leads her to recreate and design matchless pieces with sensible, yet rich details. Her love for antiques and their ability to mingle style and history is what inspired her to open Maison Maison in 1997. I used to like this shop, but they make lampshades now and don't have antiques anymore. I had two lampshades made by this designer several years ago and they fell apart.

I was the architect in Houston, for a recent home that Suzanne and I worked on together. She did a fantastic job! She added a number of design details to the home while under construction that made the project truly unique. The Moroccan ceiling treatment in the dining room really made that room special. I look forward to work with her again.

Illuminations Lighting Design

I have worked with Suzanne on several of her residential projects to install custom lighting. She is a fabulous designer with a great eye for detail. I would highly recommend Suzanne for any residential or commercial interior design.

There was never any doubt who the designer would be when we decided to build our dream home. Suzanne Duin, the inspirational owner/impetus behind Maison Maison and GB Design Inc. was instrumental in the decorating evolution of our previous home and was absolutely essential from design conception to the completion of the entire house. Suzanne and I were on the same page from day one and had an intuitive sense of compatibility during the design selection process. From furniture to fixtures, drapes to rugs, wall colors to windows, we were always headed in the same direction. Suzanne helped us avoid any costly mistakes. Additionally, having known my husband for many years, Suzanne was able to anticipate and respond to his sensitivities regarding his art, model boat, and musical instrument collections, which all found their own special homes throughout the house. The objective was to create a sense of sophisticated style and comfort that would reflect the personality of the house and the owners. That goal was certainly realized! I highly recommend her!

I have know Suzanne for many years. She was the interior designer for a friend of ours new home in the Highland Village area of Houston. The house is superbly done with so many beautiful creative touches. It is an absolute wonderful display of her talent and innate creative ability. The home is gorgeous so is a testament to how capable she is.

Suzanne has worked on two homes for me in the past eight years. She is one of the most creative people you will ever meet and has impeccable taste. Lanier

SUZANNE decorated our home about 13 years ago. She has wonderful color and spacial talent. I have never tired of seeing and living with the colors and furniture placements she created. My husband was especially pleased because when he wanted "his" chair in a particular spot that I thought would ruin the room, she came up with an arrangement that worked for both of us and looks perfect. Suzanne is great at utilizing what you own and making it look even better. What a fun and rewarding process it was working with her.

I have worked with Suzanne for 18+ years. Suzanne has amazing taste, classic and beuatuiful. She is not a trend follower, but a trend setter. Her homes and store reflect all of the hard work she has done over the years; especially her many trips to Europe to find the the "right" thing, that isn't mass produced, to make her pojects so unique!!!
