“We had a whole house interior remodel. We had a beautiful 1884 house in a great location but it had been converted to apartments and had a lot of original wiring and plumbing. We wanted to convert it back to a great lake house. The architect helped us design a great new floor plan that maximized the home's assets and included some unique special features that we wanted. They reinforced floors, walls and windows and replaced wiring, plumbing and woodwork. They essentially built a new interior that was stunning and yet maintained the style of the house. They also renovated an enclosed porch and an exterior porch that allowed us to make the most of the lake view. Bartelt started on time and stayed very close to the promised timeline. Weekly construction meetings were very helpful for keeping communication flowing and answering questions. The project manager and office manager were very responsive and helpful. The rough carpenters were fantastic - doing a great job and cleaning up every night. We had some additional costs because we decided to improve certain items as we uncovered hidden problems. Bartelt always did a good job of explaining our options. Their finish carpenter was a magician with the way that he installed the millwork and customized so many areas. The designer helped with suggestions for finishing touches that met our style preferences but also worked well with the style of the house. The overall experience was so much less stressful than we expected and actually very enjoyable. The entire staff was very professional and fun to work with. Would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends.”

The repair became much more involved than expected and Robert patiently worked with me to be sure the work was completed with as minimal disruption to my family as possible. “We hired Reality Construction to finish about 1000 sq ft of our basement in Fall of 2016. Mike was absolutely true to his word in delivering on-time and on-budget. Both the timeframe and the budget he quoted us at our first meeting was what we paid. We couldn't be happier with our finished space, it truly completes our home. Mike and his team were easy to work with from start to finish. Mike checked in on the project almost daily and was incredibly responsive to our questions and concerns. He was able to take some of the ideas that we had and make them even better. The finishes the Reality team suggested and implemented were of the highest quality. Most of what we have in our lower level is nicer than what the builder put in upstairs! Reality gave us a beautiful, comfortable space that our family will enjoy for years to come.
