Is it possible?

Thank you every one who is been helpfull on this forum with advices.I'm looking for another one.I'm doing kitchen redo,2 of my 39" tall cabinets should have lights in them but electrician refuses to install them becuse he says I have to have access.Is it possible to have lights inside cabinets with molding?

If you are using low voltage lighting, you need to have access to the "transformer" or power supply.

Take a look at http://www.phantom lighting.com for ideas.

Check out LED tape lighting. SolidApollo even has tape lighting that doesn't require a transformer.

My name is Andre Schievink and I run the design studio Amsterdam Living here in Stockholm. I have been working from my office for the last 12 years. With lots of fun and entousiasm. Now its time to move to a bigger location and share and combine our workspace with other creative designers/stylists/ artists/fashionistas and co interior designers. I am looking for a butik/ lokal on the groundfloor , in downtown Stockholm, with lots of windows and possibility for clients to walk in and see what we are doing or showing. For example if we are with 6 people, we need about 120-180 square meters lokal , with an est. rent of about 4000 kr. per person per month. Hi Bill! It's not possible to buy products on Houzz in Sweden yet, so if you're using the Swedish app/website that's why not all products have prices. The brands simply hasn't put that info on Houzz. So far the product section is only for inspiration and to help our users find the brands and retailers and go to their website to buy the products. Sorry about that, hopefully you'll be able to buy products on Houzz Sweden soon!

Hej jag förstår ditt problem det är viktigt med färgen för den kan ju förändra ett helt rum, jag skulle veta vilka färger du tänker, du skriver att du vill måla taket med är det i hallen eller hela stora rummet? Har man en färg som ligger nära besläktad med varandra behöver övergången inte bli så dramatisk och vill man ha en markerad övergång kan man sätta en bredare list där precis innan man kommer in i kök/vardagsrum den kan förslagsvis vara i samma kulör som köket eller något som passar övrig inredning. En annan lösning (beroende vilka kulörer du valt) är att måla ”hall 1” i en kulör och ”hall 2” och kök/storarum i en och samma. Då är det bara den lilla snutten vid sovrummet man ser från entrén och hall 1 väggen från andra hållet.

Thew NEC issue is that concealed wiring (inside walls typically) must be an 'approved method' and the 'methods' concentrate on 120 V, 15 A circuits as about the lowest used regularly.
There are a few other 'classes' like power limited control circuits (thermostats fall into part of this group) but they are very power limited.
They might be able to handle an LED strip, but not much else.

120 V wiring has strict rules and every splice must be in a junction box, and accessible (no damage to the finished surface) after installation.
Accessible does not have to be convenient.

The junction box behind a stove is accessible by moving the stove, a panel fastened in pace with screws is accessible, a nailed in place panel is not.

The transformer connections need to be accessible, as well as the transformer itself.

If the wiring is exposed (like on the bottom of a cabinet) and also low voltage you get a lot of relief in wiring methods.
