Furnishing my living room
Hey! I just moved into a loft a few months ago, and I am in the process of searching for a coffee table (in front of the sofa), end table (next to the sofa) or two, two chairs (along the left wall), and a table or floor lamp. Here is the space I'm dealing with:
Living room/kitchen:
Console stand on the other side of the sofa:
Does anyone have any recommendations that fit the style of my space?

Why else should you show the ( very ) different color curtains? I don't know what your going to du but, I am absolutely convinced you'll do what you need to do, you'll do it when you're good and ready. Last but not least, it'll be fantastic! Kommentarer (5)Hej Mona, I hope its ok write in English. I have a few suggestions for you, that should make you feel more at balance and at home with your living room. The shelf above the sofa looks great! Also super nice decorated and not too cluttered (happens more often than not in my house) Instead of having many small plants, swap them for 2-3 bigger ones, placed on the floor. Just because you have a window sill doesn’t mean it needs to be filled, less is more. I love the warm colours, the rusty orange, greens and beige. I only find the white knitted blanket to be a harsh contrast. Maybe it can move to another room? Since your TV is mounted on the wall, I would add a slim shelf/ box shelf underneath (also hanging on the wall) – depending on the type of receiver you have, you can even hide it behind the tv – there are fixtures for that. Then I would remove the tv bench underneath, for a more spacious feel of the room. The cables I would put in a plastic rail/ tub, leading to the outlet. In terms of wall paint, Id go for a warm dark grey on the wall behind the sofa & tv. If you have any more questions feel free to ask Hope I helped a little! Have a great day!... Kommentarer (2)Hi Francesca! Nice place you got. I suggest you create a conversation corner, with two smaller sofas facing each other, or one sofa and two chairs. You can also change position of the sofa to back on to the cupboards if you don't need to face a TV. And then just go for it with colorful rugs, cushions and art! Kommentarer (5)Go for a smaller two seater sofa with couple of armchairs, it's easier to move around. Ikea soft grey / beige sofa with wood arms is lovely in Scandinavian style. Plus the thick knot rug they have.... Se mer

6 år sedanDon't get matching leather chair. You have lots of colors in the area rug. Pick a chair in a color that is already in the rug. Blue is good. Lots of industrial lofts have aged wood coffee tables. Edison bulbs light fixtures fit lofts well. Hope this helps.

I want to move your sofa and rug to the left about 2-3 feet and maybe even rotate your rug the other direction. I'm thinking classic Danish modern lounge chairs, like Carl Hanson's Hans Wegner's CH25 Chairs or Cuba Lounge chairs. For floor lamps, something classic from Bestlite or maybe a Grasshoppa lamp. If you want a clear coffee table, the peekaboo acrylic tall coffee table from CB2 is great. I also think your space is plenty industrial without going overboard on that theme in the furnishings, and you get so much natural light that your existing furniture is not making it look too dark at all.

6 år sedanÄndrades senast: 6 år sedanHey all! Adding to the conversation... I'm also looking to do something with my side wall in my living room. Keeping to the industrial style with a hint of Asian theme (cultures of Japan, India, Thailand, and Turkey are important to me), I have a few options that I've been mulling over that I'd like to get your guys' thoughts on:
a. Leave the wall as is and hang up some framed photos/artwork.
b. Paint the wall a different color. This is technically my "accent" wall right now since the rest of my walls are off-white, but I've considered doing something a little more bold like a navy blue.
c. Put up some interesting wallpaper. I'm a fan of this design and I've toyed with the idea of putting up wallpaper of a world map if the dimensions work out - something like this or this. The wall is textured, so I'm not sure how viable this option is.
d. Paint a mural!
Looking forward to reading your feedback! I'll be posting pics after I finish this space. Hopefully soon.
P.S. Bear with me on some of the blemishes. I am working on touching up the baseboard and fixing some patches in the wall where the previous owner mounted a TV. WIP- PRO

have you thought about doing an ombre effect w/peacock or marine blue tones? would look beautiful w/the wood flooring.

6 år sedanI liked the idea of the murals...until I started putting furniture in your room...then it was distracting. What about an antique Asian cabinet with a framed Chinoiserie panel... the look of wallpaper without the commitment.
