Alhambra styled garden
This west facing garden lies in front of and below a recently modernised house in a semi rural location, with fields to the front and other gardens on either side.
A reflecting pool fed by a small stone fountain is flanked by geometric parterres of boxwood inspired by Moorish gardens of the Alhambra, with more varied and informal planting around the sides. Pleached hornbeam trees along the two sides provide further symmetry and enclosure.
Beyond the pool is a roofed gazebo and steps down to a small orchard of plums and apples.
