Shrine For Wine

The owner of this Yaletown penthouse had a small, unused pantry off of the kitchen and entertainment areas. He wanted his cellar to showcase his wine yet be functional at the same time. In order to keep it uncluttered looking, it was necessary to conceal the cooling system in the ceiling. When the cabinet doors are closed, what is presented is a clean, masculine cellar that draws your attention to the focal point - the wine itself. This shrine for wine was created out of 85-year old reclaimed, White Ash church pews that Sleeping Grape salvaged and re-milled at it's shop. The Gothic Arch doors are made of the same wood.
