Meet Bee!
When Bee first contacted us, she was a little bit stressed but more so worried about the cracks that seemed to be doubling by the week.
Her entrance steps were looking a bit, well, let’s say a little neglected.
Her concerns were of general safety, where the existing surface material had so many cracks; it was starting to feel unstable!

Sometimes on projects, no one knows what will be uncovered until in the moment.
We walked her through the process, chatted about the budget, then proposed Yorkstone for her entrance transformation.
Bee was not sure what she wanted, so she was happy to take our lead.
She knew what she did not want, which made it easy in a way for us to determine what she did. ?
We agreed on a budget, ordered the stone, which arrived after about a three-week lead time.
However, sometimes things are not always black and white!
Once we started removing the old stone & had a look – horrors of all horrors! We discovered the former steps had been installed on a silicone bed!
As a result of this butchering, we needed to restructure, re-level, and smooth out the foundations to provide a crack-free installation.
Note: this is why cracks were forming previously, due to the silicone base supporting the old stone.
Deborah is now delighted. Her stress & worries have been replaced with genuine appreciation. She loves her new steps, which are seamless & joint free to provide a beautifully continuous design.
