@Sam: it is 5" white oak r&q sawn. Stain is 66% ebony, 33% jacobean.
I spoke to a lot of hardwood floor experts and, while it depends on species some, 5" planks never presented a cupping concern. They typically said 6"+ would require engineered wood floors.
