First you cannot put a tv over a fireplace like this unless it is recessed into the wall. You could then put a mirror over it that you can see through or a piece of art that opens to show the screen. If you do not do a recessed tv, then you have to have a mantel. My fireplace company pointed out that if you put the fireplace very high off the ground, the tv will be way too high. You might be better off putting the tv in a console that raises on the opposite all and keeping the beautiful fireplace as it is.
