we'll have more base cabinets than wall cabinets and dishes are fine for looking down
appliance garage for food processor, blender, and mixers
spices in door racks
want to get stuff off the counter
wall of windows; island counter to eating surface
sustainable and easy to keep clean they say also might look cool.
does this work? it uses space that otherwise isn't used?
like the inside upper cabinets for herbs. not sure whether this version would be enough space

a higher window that still provided sunlight without using so much space would be nice
need some version of a sink that includes a place to wash long items
open feeling; simple cabinets
slide out drawer under sink makes it easier to use that space well
we need one bucket for trash and a second for recycling
skinny shelves for some stuff, deep shelves for larger bowls and pots, shelves for cookbooks
some kind of storage like this for platters. also need similar for bakeware (cake pans, cookie sheets, etc)
love to have windows over sink and some workspace don't want painted wood though
a hidden charging station is a nice idea. not sure about in the kitchen but...
