Recycled Glass Bathroom Countertops A fun and different option gaining steam is recycled glass. As the name suggests, recycled glass countertops use a minimum of 85% post-consumer recycled glass materials. The recycled glass is then mixed into cement, resin or melted to form a new sheet of solid glass. Of course, this green option reduces waste and saves energy. However, the process is very tricky and fragile. Unlike some of the previously mentioned options, we highly recommend hiring a bathroom pro to install recycled glass counters. Much like other green options around the home, recycled glass counters are expensive with the average minimum cost coming in at $75.09 per square foot.
