Love that fireplace. Could look great in a two-storey space too.
Lots of wood. Wood ceiling could be interesting to keep a two-storey space warmer and give it more of a human scale by visually dropping the ceiling.
I envision a kitchen more like this for my side.

Love the glass railing and the wood stairs. I also really like it when the glass extends up and creates a wall along the sides of the stairs.
I love the drama of this black powder room. Great sink, and I love that the mirror is full height (all the way to the floor) but sit proud of the wall, and has lighting in behind for more effect.
Not necessarily right for our purposes, but I like some of the design elements.
Going with a look like this could be a much more economical way to get a look that (I believe) we are going for. ???
