~~wall by fireplace...This was intended to be metal with a special patinated finish. We ran into a problem -- sub did not have enough experience... and the painter volunteered to do a faux painted finish to match our metal sample. The stove clearance to combustibles is such that we could simply paint the sheet rock and be fine. Kind of a funny story -- but it did turn out beautifully. The sample that was matched was copper or bronze with some kind of chemical finish. it stayed with the interior designer so I can't look at it to tell you more. I am attaching information for a fabulous metal finisher I have worked with since -- and could not recommend him more highly.
