Matt presented unique design ideas that we would not have thought of on our own. He was very prompt on meeting deadlines and keeping the project moving forward. “We met with Ileana to discuss possible renovation ideas to our 1960s house to open up the space and to re-think our upstairs bathrooms. She designed the project in a way that allowed us to consider the two pieces (upstairs and downstairs) both separately and together. We originally thought we would focus on the upstairs initially, but we were so happy with the redesigned first floor that we ended up deciding to tackle this project first. We contracted with a local company to do the work, and they have had no problems following Ileana's architectural drawings.”

“I interviewed three architects before choosing Broadhurst Architects to work with me on the demo of a approx. 450sq foot addition, the design of the addition of a approx. 750 sq. foot addition, a new back porch and patio, the remodeling of our kitchen, and door and molding upgrades to the existing home. Jeff Broadhurst and his team patiently worked with us for over a year on the design. He had a big challenge. I had dreams of large, dedicated spaces in a tiny footprint with a small budget. I wasn't the easiest customer I am sure. His professionalism extended to managing the construction process and a difficult contractor. The end result exceeds our expectations. We have beautiful spaces that are much larger than I could have dreamed. The attention to detail shines through. I couldn't be happier and love sitting in my new spaces admiring the design and function.”

She is one of a group of architects that is thinking about the future and how she can utilize her generous talents to make better more sustainable and environmentally friendly buildings. I have found her designs to be invigorating. The spaces eminently functional and her designs to utilize the available light and air flow to be of equal magnitude. In short, the spaces and buildings are livable, functional, breathing spaces that are simply exiting and fun to be in. It has always been my pleasure to photograph these spaces and to convey with a photograph what Gardner Mohr Architects have created.”

We have found very few to be as knowledgeable and understanding of the design and construction process as Studio Crowley Hall. We've found their experience and understanding of local structures, as well as their understanding of the zoning and permit process to be very helpful during the build process. In witnessing their relationships with their clients, they seem to develop a strong rapport with their clients, and are very collaborative when it comes to anticipating problems and developing solutions.”

“I was living in a dated condo made up of a series of rooms complete with a totally enclosed kitchen. When the dishwasher failed, I finally decided to take on a renovation that would transform my condo into more of an open concept arrangement. I hired Runningdog Architects to explore what could be done with the space. The result was a wonderful modernization of my home. With smart but simple moves, the entire character of my home was transformed from a series of enclosed rooms to a sequence of open spaces and captured views. The new arrangement is simultaneously set up for formal entertaining and easy living. Runningdog Architects was there from the initial concept sketches all the way through construction, always making the process as easy as possible for me. Sarah took our quaint Cape Cod home in North Arlington and made it into a beautiful home for a growing family. We told Sarah how we wanted to keep the charm and curb appeal that fit the neighborhood, and she surpassed our expectations. Our home could not be more functional thanks to Sarah's expertise, and we are always receiving compliments. Our open floor plan with large amounts of natural light could not be more perfect. “Designing a house with John and Marilyn was a pleasure. They really worked to understand our needs and our taste. We get lots of compliments on the overall look of the house as well as the beautiful details like the coffered ceiling in our kitchen, the custom backsplash, built-in living room cabinets, windows in the great room, window seat on the stairway...and on and on. It has been a joy to live in the house they designed because it's just what we wanted. New Leaf Collaborative didn't miss a thing. After moving in, we also worked with Marilyn to buy furniture, rugs and window treatments. She already knew our style and what would fit well in the house.”
