This has the advantage of avoiding disagreements between architects and builders, which meant a less difficult building process and minimises the unexpected costs that inevitably arise. Thirdly, CplusC are environmentally clever designers and builders: they design to minimise wasted construction materials; and their design and the materials they used means our ongoing expenses are reduced (we only need to turn the heater on for three or so weeks in the year, and don't use air conditioning, instead enjoying cross-breezes). David and his team were a pleasure to deal with, very easy going and took the time to actually listen and understand what we were trying to achieve and work to the unique limitations of our block etc. Communication was excellent and the process ran smoothly with regular email updates and video calls to ensure all of the fine details weren't missed. Nothing was too much trouble and all of our queries were clarified and justified with good design logic and reasoning. “Hayley Hill was engage by us to design an extension to our existing home. The brief was for an additional bedroom, and expanded kitchen and meals area with outdoor alfresco area. The design she came up with was outstanding with a pavilion for the new bedroom with ensuite connected by glass walkway to the existing house. The kitchen was large airy and bathed in light. With excellently designed cupboards and bench space. I like the way Hayley used the landscape to take in all the natural colours we used in the exterior and interior of the house and the way she designed the house to get maximum light in winter and shade for summer. We owner built our extension and Hayley was excellent to work with she provided advice on interior design, colours, PC items giving the whole dwelling an extra edge. She was extremely easy to communicate with and always helpful. We would highly recommend Haley to anyone in designing their next project.”

“Takt Studio for Architecture consulted with me and then both designed and oversaw the construction of a cottage re-build I had been gestating for some years. I found Brent and Katharina to be very tuned in and receptive to my own vision and ideas whilst bringing really interesting ideas of their own into the mix. Prior to making an agreement with them I visited a property they were currently involved with and they also showed me photographs of properties they had completed with clients. Their attention to detail was extraordinary and the final product is both aesthetically beautiful and functional. During the building process we made changes to the finishes including deciding to clad the residence in copper. This was handled efficiently and council permission was smooth due to the care invested in modifying the plans. Studio Takt managed the budget for the project carefully so that I always felt that I was in control financially and it came in pretty much on budget. Once finished I got Studio Takt to also do interior design and furnishing which set the property off beautifully. Brent organised a landscape architect to design and craft the surrounding gardens and the overall finished look of the interior and exterior of the property has been hugely well received by all who have seen it. The current tenants also report that it is a very comfortable property to live in.”
