“Lisa Little worked wonders in our smallish Venice space. We had complicated needs and she found elegant solutions within a tight budget. We redid a kitchen from the walls out, extended it a bit, added a bar, added in a huge walk-in closet and staircase in the master bedroom, and reconfigured a guest loft. The latter involved enclosing a half-wall for privacy via rotating shutters that Lisa dreamed up and designed. The shutters rotate open when the loft is not in use and closed when we have company up there. This was a brilliant idea, brilliantly executed at not much cost. Lisa helped with fixture choice, color choice, and furniture choice, and worked closely with the general contractor and his subs. She exhibited great taste, a firm hand, and a keen eye on the budget. Recommended without reservation.”

“The team at Minarc is great. They designed and helped us build a new home from the ground up using their proprietary mnmMOD building system. Founders Erla and Tryggvi were deeply involved in every step of the process, from initial design, to permitting, to all the build details through final completion. They listened to us, understood what we wanted in a house, then went on to deliver beyond our expectations. Both are highly creative, energetic and a pleasure work with. For our home, they created spaces for truly comfortable living while still maintaining a clean, modern and minimal aesthetic. As an added bonus, our home has been featured in print publications and broadcast programs, was recognized with numerous awards and was included in a Dwell magazine home tour. They continue to be an incredible resource for every aspect of design, building and architecture. Highly recommended!”

“We thoroughly enjoyed working with Bill Beauter and Jess Mullen-Carey of MAKE Architecture on our house. We'd worked with another architect but hadn't gotten a design we liked, so we started from scratch and sketched a floor plan ourselves. We even made a cardboard model to show the modern style we had in mind. But we wanted a good architect to give the design the polish it needed. Bill and Jess were recommended to us by a friend of our son. They improved what we had, remaining loyal to our vision while integrating a better roof design that achieved a pleasing volume to the interior, and providing overall coherence to the design. After completing the final plans, they worked with our contractor to make sure the house turned out the way we wanted. Always a pleasure to work with, Bill and Jess gave us great suggestions and were responsive to requests. Every day we admire the lines of our new house. We love living here and are delighted we found such great architects!”

“We have loved working with Dean on two remodeling projects. Dean was great to work with because he brought his architectural talent and creativity to the table while also listening to our wants and needs -- and even though we were one of his smallest projects, Dean gave us his full attention, which we really appreciated. He did a beautiful job modernizing our mid-century modern home while also preserving its original character. He then turned what I fondly used to refer as "the shed" behind our house into a a great studio / gym.”
