“Mine was the Brooklyn Brownstone in Maria's photographs. Working with her was an extraordinary experience. She created the architectural design for our third floor kitchen and our downstairs duplex renovations, coming up with a series of design ideas that were both beautiful and within our budget. She helped select our contractor and collaborated with him during each stage of both projects. She made weekly visits to the job site, and just as importantly, the contractor would call Maria with questions as the work progressed thereby avoiding costly “do overs.” She completed both projects within our budget and even more surprisingly, on time! The results of her design work and project management are there for you to see on her design pages. I would recommend her unequivocally.”

“When my husband and I took on the project of completely renovating an 1846 Greek Revival house in the back country of Greenwich, we ran into difficulties with the architect we had hired. Doug VanderHorn came to our rescue! Many architects might have been unwilling to take on a project that had already started, but Doug, to my everlasting gratitude, not only agreed to work with us, but brought fresh, new, creative and improved ideas to the table. His taste is impeccable and he ended up helping me with all kinds of related issue like bathroom tiles, special effects in moldings and fireplaces and placement of furniture in a difficult room. “I hired Rebecca Poole to draw up plans for a new 2 car garage that I will be having built. When we met with her, and I explained what we were looking for, she took some measurements to begin work. After a very short time, she notified me that the elevations were done, and after that, the final plans were generated. All of the plans were of excellent quality.....very professional !! Rebecca was a pleasure to work with, and her services were reasonably priced. I highly recommend Rebecca if you are looking for this type of service, and would hire her again in a second if needed. “Michael is a very capable and creative architect. I had the good fortune of acquiring his professional help and contracted with him to expand the first level of our “cape” house in Mattapoisett. We originally thought of modifying a previous family room addition to use as the basis of our new plans. Michael looked into that structure and determined that because of some floor issues and wall cracks that it was not structurally sound enough to use. I had full confidence in Michael’s recommendation; so, although it would cost more to destroy that structure and start over, we agreed. As the first phase started, my contractor ran into a very disturbing issue where the foundation of the initial addition was unstable. Michael was correct in his analysis. Michael is very thorough and meticulous. I highly recommend Michael Silva as your architect.”

“Couture Design Associates was contracted to design a bungalow in the East Greenwich historic district, with the proviso that it appear as if it was built in 1910. JP Couture was creative with the limited space available for the project as well as the overall design. He took time to learn how we live, what we were seeking, and prepared an elegant design that included what we wanted and is perfect for our lifestyle. He participated in the entire process, from approvals to interior design, serving as a terrific negotiator, mediator, and advocate. We found it a pleasure to work with JP and all of the staff at Couture Design Associates, and would highly recommend them for any project!”
