“After finding him on Yelp with good reviews, we had BVM design a 655 sq. ft. residence that incorporated a pre existing building. He was responsive to emails and calls and gave us a surprising number of designs. He was able to give us exactly what we wanted, despite our ideas being communicated rather poorly over the many many interruptions of small children. It was not cheap, but I don't really know what others charge. Also, when our general contractor saw the plans he said "boy, this guy knows how to draw!!" Overall, he was really easy to work with, gave us exactly what we wanted, and impressed other professionals in his field. What more could you want??”

On the technical front, Steve has unique experience (professional and personal) with homes set on steep lots, something well suited to San Diego's canyon homes. Going beyond the technical, Steve is a gifted designer with a keen sense of space, materials and practicality - a unicorn. His ideas for the addition to my MCM preserved the existing elements in a delightful and thoughtful manner.
