“We were very pleased when Karenna Wilford Architects were recommended to us for our cottage extension and refurbishment. Karenna has been like a breath of fresh air to us. She is reliable, professional and very pleasant to work with. She worked closely with us to give us not only just what we wanted but also made valuable suggestions which proved to be a large benefit to the final scheme. KWA project managed all the building works as we had very specific requirements and wanted to use specialised contractors. They were very efficient and KWA kept us well informed of the impact some of the design decisions would have on our budget! We love our new home and can thoroughly recommend Karenna and her team.”

“Working with Mark over a period of 3.5 years from our initial meeting through to finally getting a go ahead was a painless experience always there to provide advice. This was more than we could say for our local planners who proved to be a challenge at every turn, especially with a site in an AONB, in the green belt and part of the High Weald. The day was finally won through, use of the permitted development arrangements. A key factor in this, was the efficient and innovative roof profile, large in area but small enough in volume. This allowed us to satisfy all the necessary criteria. This curving profile had been one of Marks earliest concepts which he had presented to us and which had been particularly appealing, being a different approach from the conventional pitched roof arrangements. It was this ultimately significant arrangement that allowed the successful pursuit of gaining permission from our local planning authority, against what at times seemed like insurmountable objections from the planners.”

“We partnered with CDMS on a full restoration of a previous unloved Regency home in Brighton. The unique walk in larder, clad in a liquid bronze finish, really shows their ability to create unique, ambitious design whilst retaining the beauty of a period home. The bathroom is elegant with a touch of industrial and remains one of our most saved images on our Houzz profile. “For our new build home David Challinor of C-architecture provided a first class and client centred service, providing invaluable support throughout the process. His design met all our expectations in terms of style and functionality and incorporated eco features that were practical and pleasing. With his help we were able to obtain planning permission swiftly and without alteration to the design. David acted as project manager and worked positively with the contractor exercising strict financial controls over the whole project. We have found David to be extremely professional and easy to work with. We would completely recommend C-Architecture as we are thrilled with the end result and love living in the house.”

“PROPOSED NEW EXTENSION AND REFURBISHMENT In writing this reference for Studio 9010, led by Siggi Nepp, I consider she presented a formidable contribution to our project. Siggi offered an excellent blend of design, innovation and robust delivery for which she has a proven track record locally. The proposal included a modern extension to a listed Grade II* property, housing a family games area at lower ground level, new open plan kitchen and living area at ground floor, a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a dressing room at first floor level. The proposed external materials were largely an innovative timber rain screen cladding, a modern twist on the use of locally sourced timber. The proposed interiors were designed to allow maximum daylight in and used predominantly white finishes with strong feature colours for a clean, light interior. Siggi is adept at understanding the client’s needs and how best to translate them into creative, functioning environments. She is a pleasure to work with and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.”

“I have known Maria for a few years now. We have completed several projects, 1 of recent ones was high end refurbishment at very premium square in Knightsbridge, SW1X. She managed the project very well considering the stress she was put under. Maria has a good eye for interior design, adapts to difficult situations quickly, and manages very well the entire team. She is an Architect to be trusted to run the projects successfully to completion. Good hearted as a person, very professional in her work, helpful, polite and always giving 110% back. Valuable asset to any construction team.”

“SCD stealthily plugged into my vision for the property and were able to expand upon and develop exactly the kind of style I was seeking to achieve. SCD's enthusiasm, commitment and attention to detail drove the project forward from start to finish. SCD's work encompassed such a huge variety of tasks: from obtaining planning and building control permission, co-ordinating structural engineers and party wall surveyors, producing an array of technical drawings, to scrutinising paint/tile/fabric samples, selecting furniture and managing the work of the builders and the contract. Their contribution, at every stage and in every aspect, was never less than brilliant. And there is absolutely no doubt that, without them, I would not be in such a magnificent property. When it comes to my next project, be it commercial or residential, there is no question that they will be the first on board.”
