“Mike Bacon turn a rather horrible house in a beautiful setting into a really lovely house. The whole house was refurbished. Mike turned it upside down and reconfigured it so that it completely met the requirements of our family. This was not an easy task and he came up with ingenious solutions for several things such as how to move a staircase into the right place to make the whole house work. We now have a fabulous home with a 27 foot lounge looking over the sea, and a kitchen diner that can sit 12 round the table and still not feel crowded. Mike was very good at working with us to deliver what we wanted - but also to make it really special. These were his ideas! And he dealt brilliantly with Parish Council and planning issues. Advised us on what was possible and this saved us a lot of time and money not trying to achieve what would have been unacceptable to the planners. He also sorted out the dangerous and multilevel garden. Now safe and easy to use and enjoy. We love our home, it is special and the whole family continues to love using it. It just works for us!”

“We employed Simon having come across the firm in my role as a local council solicitor. We were not disappointed. We wanted a new porch, loft conversion and new integral garden room/ conservatory. Simon listened to our ideas and designed a layout has provided us with beautiful living space. He guided us through the planning process so that our planning application was supported by the council within the 8 week timeframe. He met every deadline and did so in a professional yet relaxed manner. Further support and advice was provided as we appointed a builder and Charles Blake kept a helpful eye as the project went ahead, Everything went just as smoothly and on schedule. Can't thank CBA enough, best decision we made.”

“Hugh has completed two projects for us. The first was designing an extension at the rear of our property some 20 years ago. Living in Dartmoor National Park his experience of dealing with such authorities was invaluable. The design was cleverly conceived and as unobtrusive as possible whilst meeting all of our requirements and satisfying the planners. The second project, some 6 years ago involved the design and construction of a green oak frame extension. Again this has blended in perfectly and met with the total approval of the planning authorities. Hugh is a delight to work with and we have no hesitation in recommending him.”

His interaction with the various contractors was also spot on. Subsequently employed to oversee building works and issue architects certificate upon completion. “I had a great result from working with Lawrence on my basement flat extension and outhouse building project. Lawrence understood the brief fully and undertook detailed plans that were clear and representative. The whole experience was very collaborative, especially on the design and planning process. Lawrence handled all of the planning application and saved me a lot of time and worry about this. The result is a highly attractive, modern, yet complimentary extension and outhouse and I could not recommend him more.”
