“We met with Ileana to discuss possible renovation ideas to our 1960s house to open up the space and to re-think our upstairs bathrooms. She designed the project in a way that allowed us to consider the two pieces (upstairs and downstairs) both separately and together. We originally thought we would focus on the upstairs initially, but we were so happy with the redesigned first floor that we ended up deciding to tackle this project first. We contracted with a local company to do the work, and they have had no problems following Ileana's architectural drawings.”

“Margaret Upton designed a fabulous second floor addition for our one floor 50's rambler. The three bedroom, two bath addition perfectly captured our dream of more space without looking like a "McMansion". We now have an incredible new space that exudes charm and warmth inside and out that beautifully ties in the old with the new. We frequently receive compliments on how well the design fits into street without overpowering the neighboring house - just what we wanted. “Working with Workshop11 to build our dream home was a dream come true! Never having done a project of this scale and after hearing horror stories from people who used architects to design houses they couldn't afford to build, we were nervous about such a massive undertaking. Stephen worked collaboratively with us to make sure we designed a home that was modern and also practical for our family. He worked within our project budget, and always came up with creative ways to design something or build something that went beyond our expectations. We quickly learned to trust Stephen and his crew implicitly. And, despite his laid-back demeanor, Stephen is a closet-perfectionist that thinks carefully about how things look and function, and made sure everything was well-designed and well-built. Given Workshop11's ability to do metal design in addition to home design/build, everything in our home is custom and beautiful. After living in the house for almost two years, we still can't believe we get to live in this amazing modern home!”

“Dan was an amazing resource for my house renovation, helping me at all stages of the project. He assisted me in figuring out the financing and then worked closely with me in an iterative way, going through various options to create the plans for what ultimately became my dream home. Dan's value was in combining a keen artistic eye with great structural and engineering knowledge as well a through knowledge of the permitting process and economics of house renovations. He also introduced me to a terrific contractor who proved invaluable and well as vendors and suppliers who were great. Renovating a house can a daunting and sometimes scary process, but Dan's good counsel, sound advice, first-hand experience, and architectural skills made the process exciting, fulfilling, and even fun. I highly recommend him.”
