As a Structural Engineer, I prefer to work with the likes of Chaney & Norman Architects as they are engaging and collaborative when it comes to structural requirements, which allows us to discuss and integrate efficiencies into the structural design where possible, while maintaining the vision for their project/client. “We started with Mark Gray mid 2015, and asked him for a house design to incorporate certain elements we had seen previously in other designs. As a holiday home, we wanted a certain "feel" to the main Lounge/Dining area, with exposed timber finishes on floor and ceiling. We ended up with something we wouldn't change a thing on. Mark nailed it. We found Mark very easy to work with, and while he is a fairly quiet and patient person (he had to be), he certainly spoke up if he felt something wasn't what he felt would work. Would we use Mark again, absolutely. Along the way we had dinner a couple of times, met his wife and a son, and they are decent people, which reflects in Mark's passion to see you get what you want, even with his subtle prodding along the way to get some of what he wants too.”
