“Vani recently architected a 500sq ft remodel + addition project on our house. When we started, we had a very rough idea of the project. Not dismissing any of our inputs, Vani expertly encapsulated them with her own and came up with an impressive design. In just a few meetings, we had the final design ready. A stickler for perfection that she is, her drawings were very clear and detailed and have received compliments from almost every contractor we sent them to. What really drew us to her is her work-ethics. She promptly attends and returns calls and requires zero follow-up. She keeps you well-updated on the progress at every stage. She goes beyond doing just her homework, works closely with other engineers and ensures there are no delays and permit is pulled right on time. She has also worked with multiple contractors and has a good understanding of the industry and has given us expert advice every time we were in need of it. In short, she went beyond and above our expectations and our relationship has only strengthened with time. One can totally entrust her with their dream project(s). Very highly recommend!”

“I have known Jim Cline for over five years. In 2007, my properties were damaged in a fire. I hired Jim to help remodel one building and design the other building from the ground up. He has been exemplary throughout the entire process particularly with the issues involving the many various San Francisco city departments. I would not have been able to maneuver through those departments without his expertise. His designs are innovative and modern. He is very thorough in every aspect of the design process. He works within the budget and gives a detailed accounting of his services. I would highly recommend him.”

“Impluvium listened to my spiritual desires to create a contemporary space that made guests feel instantly welcome while providing function for everyday life. I described a desire that my home subliminally feel like a space where East meets West. Many visitors comment on how "happy", comfortable, and Zen like my home is. Mission accomplished thanks to Tim Haley! The project involved an extensive remodel of my 3 bedroom/2 bath townhouse inclusive of footprint expansions (addition of ~75 sq. ft.), relocation of all plumbing and electrical, removal of demising wall, new windows, doors and skylights, and creative solutions designed to maximize space. In particular, Impluvium not only designed an aesthetically beautiful ceiling in the great room, but it also provides layers of light for multiple uses at all times of the day and night, functionally it is a chase which delivers the in-home sound system and HVAC system, and it masks the new structural beam required when the demising wall was removed. The accuracy and completeness of Impluvium's design and architectural drawings were instrumental in expediting HOA approvals and permits.”

“My HOA hired Klopf Architecture to design new fences, front gates, lighting and paint color plans for our condominiums. They were designed in 1963 by Quincy and Jones and built in 1964 by Eichler Homes. Replacements in the 1990s did not serve the mid-century aesthetic well -- but owners did not want to return to the light-inhibiting original thin-line panel fences and gates. The Klopf team produced three outstanding options. The one we selected includes brilliant design features like frosted glass doors with 1/4-in spaces between fence boards to allow light in along with clear glass doors for the pool area with 1/2-in spaces between boards surrounding it. The overall design and color plan is clean and elegant. John Klopf and his team could not have been more friendly and flexible throughout. We look forward to implementing this design over the next few years.”

“Mehran is extremely knowledgeable from a design, cost, and feasibility perspective. I worked with Mehran on a complete teardown/rebuild of an existing single family home to a 90% new home. The main factors I needed addressed were cost concerns while keeping the best design and functionality for resale. Mehran gave insightful opinion and pointed out issues I had not and was not able to spot due to my relative unfamiliarity. His years of experience allows him insight on issues from both a building and cost perspective that would otherwise go unnoticed. Highly recommended.”

“Kirill & WellMade were a pleasure to do business and work with. Kirill had great ideas and insights, was very flexible and interested in hearing our ideas and desires and implementing the same. He's a great guy and I recommend him unequivocally! We hired him to create as-builts, design a completely renovated 950 sf basement with bathroom and full service wet bar, a multi-level backyard with bocce ball court, fire pit, bar and deck (which we completed in 2017) and now we're in the middle of a major great room remodel with his help.”

“I worked with Sean on an addition to our home and could not be more happy. The first thing that I noticed when working with Sean was his attention to detail. He is incredibly creative and I was worried I would not be able to find someone who shared my vision and aesthetic; however, nothing could be further from the truth with Sean. He listened well and incorporated feedback into an amazing design that seamlessly fits our home. Another aspect of working with Sean that put me at ease was his professionalism. He was a strong advocate for us throughout the process and working with the city and our builder. Sean caught mistakes and flaws from the builder and ensured that our vision was executed perfectly at every step of the way. When people come over to our house many do not realize that the addition was, in fact, an addition. The design is seamless and matched the flow and look of home both on the interior as well as exterior. We only get compliments from the design and work. There is no doubt in my mind that I will work with Sean again for any other projects in the future and I would highly recommend him if you want to create something visually spectacular, expertly designed with thought and purpose, and when people look at it to be impressed.”

“Amparo designed my kitchen and my bathroom. I love both rooms. I tell everyone that I could not have done it without her and it is true! Both rooms are small and so it was a challenge to find materials that fit and did not create cramped spaces. There was no room for mistakes and Amparo did not make any mistakes. Amparo always sees the best solution to any design problem immediately; it is not a process of trial and error with her. She also knows all about the best materials at the best prices, and where to acquire them. She is very easy to work with, listens intently to my preferences and honors them. She helped me communicate with the contractor in order to reach a higher level of quality in the workmanship. I highly recommend her services.”

“We worked with Davide Giannella, who is an Italian and the principal, on a house expansion of over 800SF. The house was a ranch home. Davide designed an elevated roof with clerestory windows for the new family room, added two bedrooms and one bathroom, and re-designed the front and back yards so that we have a flagstone terrace with concrete benches and outdoor kitchen. I found him a good listener, with creative solutions, and effortlessly blends the client's requirement and taste with what is modern and classy. I also found that he is a master of light. He strategically positions skylights and clerestory windows so that our interior is bathed in light. He gives great style recommendations about interior, furniture placement, color and lighting. We can ask him about almost everything. He has a wholistic vision and the skills and taste to bring it to life. His plans are one of the most detailed many of our contractors have seen. We consider ourselves lucky to work with him and the money well spent.”
