“Bret Drager was my late wife's and my architect for a very contemporary design home we built on Whidbey Island in 2003-2004. He was personable, sensible, and creative throughout the process, and did not cost an arm and a leg. He asked us provocative questions to begin the process and came forth then with five design concepts. After we choose one, he involved us a lot in the process, but still directed us well and saved us from a number of bad mistakes we would otherwise have been attracted to. He welcomed the involvement of our contractor before construction drawings were finished, which again saved a number of headaches. When most of the last of our sweat equity -- and the house -- was finished, he visited with several of his staff to kick back and savor the result. We have kept in touch since.”

“Röm Architecture Studio was the brains behind our significant remodel. As an architect myself, I had high standards for both professional service and the design solution. Not currently working in residential, I needed someone who could take my handwaving and concerns and turn them into solutions. Carol Sundstrom listened to our wishes and dreams, and suggested a novel idea. Our initial reaction was to be stunned - she was relocating rooms around the floor plan of the house but in the end, it works just the way we wanted it to. Our remodel was complete a couple of years ago and it is not only a lovely space but it fits our family's lifestyle. Accessibility for wheelchair users was a high priority for us and she accommodated our needs gracefully.”

“Andrew helped us file for an Alt-2 permit with the NYC DOB. He also helped us with our co-op board package. His services included initial consultation, measurements, architectural drawings, plumbing plan, statement of work being done, filing of permit (with an expeditor), permit pulling, and other certifications required by our board. Andrew was very responsive and flexible. He was able to set up an initial consultation within 24 hours. He came prepared and measured our apartment during the consultation. We executed the contract and the first payment was made shortly thereafter. Andrew has completed all of the work in his scope and has done an amazing job. Even during the renovation process, he went above and beyond his duties and continued checking in. Andrew has provided an A+ experience and we have already recommended him to a couple of friends. He's a class act and will respond very quickly in a professional and polite manner.”

“I was looking for someone deeply experienced in technical domains, (architecture, construction, and fabrication) to fit the requirements of my custom home, the Galer Street House. Thomas was tasked with production of the interior custom cabinetry and associated custom woodworking. From our first meeting, Thomas’s communication, experience and broad background gave me confidence that he would understand the complex geometries and be able to deliver the high-end quality needed for this application. From the custom handmade walnut cabinets, custom furniture-like features and being always available to help me when the details needed his attention, he delivered. I was not disappointed. In addition, when challenged by architectural details and budget constraints on the exterior of the home, Thomas, owner of Studio Walker Architects, Inc., was able to take a large burden off my shoulders with his durable design/build approach, which was substantially less expensive and also resulted in a better overall appearance. “Larry is very easy to work with, and has a lot of great ideas and helpful suggestion's. This is a first house that we have started from the ground up and he treated each of our questions with respect even if it wasn't something that could be done. He would then explain why it would or wouldn't work.”

“We collaborated with Brett Marlo Designs on a custom sliding door for one of her projects. Brett wanted to transform a nook into a study room for her customer's daughters and came to us with the idea of the sliding door. We really enjoyed working with Brett throughout the whole process. She has a great eye for design and is really good at solving design constraints. As you can see from the picture the result of her design was an amazing study space. We look forward to working with her on many projects in the future.”

“Ko has been a great help in Lisa and I trying to decide on a direction for remodeling or home. Ko came to our home and spent time with us to get a feel for what we had in mind then taking measurements and information to develop a conceptual drawing. At this point we have a direction, when we get financial understanding of our options then we will be ready to start planning the exciting remodel.”
