“I engaged Steve in the summer of 2007 to draw up plans to completely re-built my living room/dining room. Design element included sloped ceilings, complete window replacement, new windows, new gas fireplace. The design was thoughtful and innovative. Steve listened to my ideas and enhanced them with his own resulting in a successful, synergistic plan. I hired Steve in 2003 to design a two story addition to my home. The plans included a landscaping, a new approach to my driveway and front door. The result is very handsome. Both project exceeded my expectations. And on both projects, Steve stepped in during construction to correct mistakes made by the builder and resolved issues with inspectors (in my favor). I would hire Steve again without question.”

“Michael Norpell has been a fantastic person to work with. He came in to a situation with our house that had a nasty, and I mean NASTY pool in the back that had a funky 80's shape and not a lot of hope for it to look good. After surveying the property with me and looking at pictures I had pulled from many different places, he came back 2 days later with perfect drawings of a pool and the setting around it that blew me away. He "got me" in that he understood my vision but was able to take it so much further and better than I imagined. He sought out the subcontractors and supervised all of them throughout the production of the pool, making sure they all knew what the others were doing so that the timing went well. I now have a very envied pool that looks straight out of a high end resort, but at a very reasonable price. Michael also helped me indoors when I first moved in-he helped me figure out where to place a fairly extensive Folk Art collection, helped with new furniture decisions, new kitchen table, etc. His best piece is a fantastic rug he designed using FLOR-he brought a lot of pieces I had together to make a pretty good room into a WOW room. I can not say enough good things about the work that Michael Norpell does. He gets the highest score possible from both my husband and myself!!!”

“We were extremely pleased with our relationship with and work performed by Cornell Building and Design. Tom and Rhonda were always professional, pleasant, helpful, cost conscious, and went beyond the call of duty to serve our house building project. We could not have built our house without them on our team. The work performed was done timely and great quality. We were impressed with his diligence and care to make sure that we were happy with the outcomes. We appreciated his flexibility with our requests and involvement, working cooperatively and with a positive attitude with us on all of our idiosyncrasies. While we were gone on vacation, Tom pulled a rabbit out of a hat by getting our truss design modified to accommodate the attic furnace location (and also allow for storage space), as well as make sure that we had delivery on time (when other companies were giving us a 6 week backlog.)
