“Very impressed with this store and staff! Their display is extensive and carries a wide range of prices and styles. We worked mainly with David Rapay who solved multiple lighting problems that came up during an overly ambitious renovation project. He sat with us in the store for hours to plan out recessed can trims, bulbs and filters - and then remembered each of the can locations and product decisions when questions came up later. He recommended specialized bulbs for wall fixtures with unusual locations and saved us money with less expensive specialized lighting options in other locations. Everyone in the store is friendly, competent and professional. This store was a real find, recommended by our contractor.”

“Sheryl is awesome. We bought a mid-century house that needed lighting badly and we were completely clueless on where to begin. Sheryl had great ideas and connected us with a really good contractor to execute the work. I would definitely recommend Eluminations to people who have a big or complicated lighting job.”

“Before we heard about in-lite we tried different lighting companies. Once we started using in-lite, everything changed. They have products for every style and customer, bringing European design to Canada. We absolutely love dealing with the people at in-lite and can't imagine using another brand. They stand behind there product and continue to amaze us with there innovations. I highly recommend using in-lite for all your outdoor lighting projects.”

“My wife and I were introduced to Nelson by a kitchen designer we hired. Nelson is in commercial lighting, having done a major airport, conversion of a large corporate headquarters to a hotel, among other very large projects. He happens to live in our town and it was convenient for him to help us with a residential project. Nelson looked at our kitchen plan and described what he had in mind. It sounded great! The next day I received a CAD lighting plan and all the spec sheets for the products he recommended. Nelson stopped by several times to check on things and ultimately to program the switching system. The electricians really enjoyed working with Nelson and they learned a great deal from him. The lighting in our kitchen is a highlight. The cost was reasonable for such a sophisticated plan. Nelson is a pro's pro, and it is clearly reflected in our kitchen. We were really fortunate to be able to work with him and we highly recommend him.”

“I first met Ernie and his crew when I was a building inspector for Laguna Niguel and they were doing a tenant improvement for a lighting showroom. I found out that they were also the owner and contractor. Not to long after that Ernie ask me to do a seminar for electricians on lighting controls that meet the Energy Commission requirements. I believe it was at the seminar that I got to know a lot about Coastal Moods and the construction projects they have done in So. Cal. Ernie and all his people are above all standards required by building departments, remember I can only enforce the minimum standards of the building codes. Ernie and his staff go well above minimum standards and it is always a pleasure inspecting their work. This kind of workmanship can only be found by top notch first class contractors. I can count on 1 hand the number of HONEST contractors I've met in the field and these guys are number 1 in my book. I'm always ask if I know of a good contractor or electrician and I just give Ernie's name to them. I ran out of his cards along time ago so I give out his phone number.”

“Alloy LED provides LED tape lights with extra long runs with high CRI in a wide variety of Kelvin temperatures. That's everything we're asking for - gotta love that. Also, there are many channels to choose from. And that they're in the San Francisco Bay Area, where we live and work, is an added bonus.”

“Eichen's Lighting is fabulous. A great find for the Bay Area, where I struggled to get good service and a good price. Not to name other stores, but the prominent lighting store in SF has repeatedly been rude and non communicative once I've placed an order, likely because I'm not a designer or have huge orders, but I'm a paying customer that deserves respect. Eichen's on the other hand in locally owned and you get the attention and help you deserve, no matter who you are. They have an amazing selection and their staff are super knowledgeable and will help you find exactly what you're looking for, even if they have to order it. The new showroom is gorgeous and helps bring ideas to life, which is important since Lighting is 3-dimensional and magazine/online doesn't do it justice. The best part is that they are open on the weekends, making it easy for me to shop and pick up deliveries while not taking time off work.”

“I first hired Nancy in 2000 as a lighting designer in the renovation of a huge old house in Pacific Heights (San Francisco). Her wonderful sense of space, design, and era helped me transform the lighting in this 1915 classic home into well-lit space without ruining the ceiling lines and overpowering the beautiful interior. Nancy and I became friends through the trials and tribulations of updating the lighting in this spectacular but challenging space. She has worked with me since on two more projects, each very different, with challenges of their own. I am constantly amazed by Nancy's sensitivity to her client, the space, and the era of the space. She never imposes her own tastes; she has a vast amount of experience in many different styles, and she always finds just the right approach for each project. I am also in awe of her knowledge of the latest and greatest technology in the lighting profession. She knows everything there is to know about LED technology, which is absolutely the future of lighting. Beginning in May 2014, Nancy again became my lighting designer in a net-zero energy home in the Oakland hills. These days, being up on the latest and greatest technology really matters. Nancy has really done her homework on what's available, what's best-in-class, what's beautiful, what's on the horizon. Nancy is a first-class professional. Just the best there is.”

“For anyone building or remodeling their home, don't make a lighting move without Vanessa or Omega Lighting Design! Vanessa is just wonderful -- super helpful, offered so many options and came up with ideas that I wouldn’t have thought of on my own. We did everything for my home, from custom lights for me, catalogue lights, to vintage lights. I wouldn’t have been able to do my project without her. She is super professional. I'd hire Omega Lighting Design again if I were building another house.”
