“We contacted John Erwin Remodeling after searching locally on google for a remodeling contractor in the Olympia area. Site looked nice and samples looked great so we gave them a call. We got a free rough estimate for our deck remodel, but because of the complexity and options of what we wanted, we were advised by John that drawings / design should be done if we wanted to know the actual cost and move forward. We wanted some elaborate overhangs to take advantage of our peek-a-boo water view, so having a set of plans turned out to be a great idea. Turns out engineers and the county need documents like these for the permitting process. We deliberated as a we had contacted a few other companies, none of which seemed to have it together like Erwin. My wife and I agreed and for a modest fee, John came up with drawings that captured just what we described. Its really neat to see your project drawn out on plans. We are in the process of gathering resource$ as what we wanted came back higher than our predetermined budget, but to be fair, we didn't realize the engineering issues that existed to make our dream deck a reality. So far, working with John has been great. He's responsive, polite and professional. We will update our review as soon as we start our deck remodel later this summer.”

Now that he's launched his own venture, we're looking forward to finishing a few more small jobs, and then on to a long-overdue bathroom & kitchen remodel project Kevin always puts together a detailed scope of work with a firm price, so there are no "surprise" cost overruns, which is typically our experience with other contractors. He's a a hard worker and gets the job done right. So far Kevin helped us finish a tongue and groove ceiling project in a large outbuilding, as well as installing about 2000 square feet of flooring and stairs. He finished up some window trim, baseboard and a door installation that the "other contractor" never finished. Definitely recommend Kevin and provide a reference call to anyone considering him.”

The folks at Bar-None we easy to talk to and were helpful in defining the scope of the work. The were prompt, finished the work in two days, and cleaned up well. The price was fine. I am planning on hiring them to do some more work.”
