“They did a tremendous job with the remodeling of our townhouse! Kitchen, living room, dining room and 2 bathrooms! Also opened up an enclosed stairwell and in the kitchen removed a couple of walls to open it up to the living room! Kept me updated on everything as the project progressed and sent pictures! Really liked the personal phone call when a problem was encountered so we could discuss the situation and then determine the best solution! It was really nice to have someone who designed our vision of what we talked about and made it come to life, while I was over 500 miles away! “I have used Cove Creek Construction for two projects at my 30 year old mountain cottage. The largest involved shoring up the attached porch, requiring various metal devices at beam joists, jacking up the porch and installing a new post with base and cap under a beam joint. The second project involved cutting two trap doors for access to the septic system below the guest cabin behind the main structure. “My wife and I have 1,000 sq ft of decks around our house- Built in 2010, and never lived in, we bought it in 2020. The decks had never been stained and were in awful shape at a time when wood and composite were either in zero supply or ridiculously priced. I talked to Jim Starley then of Starley Construction about what we wanted to do- but due to material prices we waited 3 years to pull the trigger. During that interval, I got to know Jim- worked with him and his crew- volunteering for flood victims, watched Jim rescue any and every dog he came across, shared stories of the difficulties of parenthood and became solid friends. Jim's crew just finished fixing and recovering our decks- one sitting at 43' above ground, and two others at 20', and performed looking out for us as if we were all family. “I have used Currahee Home Builders on two separate occasions and they have outperformed both times. The first was to convert a free standing garage to a bunkhouse with 6 queen sized bunks. The result is outstanding. Mark with Currahee has a great eye and was able to improve upon some of the design elements. The second time was for them to build a mack daddy firepit in the backyard facing the lake. It involved a brick wall moving dirt and getting to difficult part of the yard. The result is nicer than any resort has this side of the mason dixon line. They always have great subs and finish the job on time and on budget and they don't get mad when you decide to add on things in the middle. I can't recommend them enough!”
