So far they have completed 3 projects for us including a wet bar, shiplap and board and batten. Each project has been better than the last. Mark is quick to answer questions and Heather is wonderful to work with too. Not to mention their son, who worked on the board and batten and shiplap, and it is amazing! “In 2006 I started my search for a North Georgia cabin. I looked at resales and new construction all over Gilmer and Fannin Counties. Being in real estate myself since the late 80’s, I’ve been selling resale and new construction homes for years! After looking for cabins a few months I happened upon one Shawn was building in a community in Ellijay. As I walked through the cabin I was immediately impressed with the quality of workmanship, as well as, the finishes the builder was using. It felt as if it were a home he was building for himself! Not only did I love the style and floor plan of the cabin, but the small touches Shawn’s carpenter added made it very unique and stand out among it’s competition. I could already see myself living there! With only weeks left in the construction process I hoped Shawn would work with me to personalize the cabin with last minute finishes I wanted to select. Indeed, not only did he allow me to pick out my lighting, granite and paint colors, but he helped me with enhancing the exterior by adding stonework to my stairs and support columns. When the cabin was ready to close Shawn did a thorough walk through with me and took care of any items of concern. We closed on time and my experience with Shawn and his team was one of the best I’d experienced in all my years! Even after 10 years of living in my cabin, Shawn continues to keep in touch with me and help me take care of anything that comes up in regard to maintenance and repair. His team has stained my cabin, replaced deck boards and have been awesome about service after the sale! I can’t wait for the opportunity to work with Shawn again one day to build me another home!”

“Manzer Contracting does top-notch work and it is always a pleasure working with this general contractor. Manzer has completed several large remodeling jobs for us including: complete master bath and closet remodel, complete basement remodel, a front door stoop remodel (replace single door with double, add a roof structure over door stoop and rebuild the brick stairs to the stoop), and also a back deck remodel/update. In each project, they worked closely with us through all stages of the remodel, including the initial design/conceptual stage and budgeting stage which was helpful to us. It is worth noting the project stayed on budget (except in those few cases where we decided to add a change request at our additional cost). Their design consultant, Jenny, was extremely helpful in guiding us through some of the up-front design decisions as well as more specific design choices later in the project such as lighting, flooring, tile selections, etc. Manzer's on-site crew has always been prompt, hard-working and respectful. In each case they kept the work site as clean as possible from one day to the next. Overall, the communication from day to day with respect to the project schedule was always clear and effective. We continue to enjoy the updates Manzer Contracting made in our home and we are thankful to have been able to work with such a wonderful group.”

He did a GREAT job and left it cleaned. I wasn't able to provide the door so he purchased it and brought it with him. He is very professional and trustworthy. After meeting him, I knew I wouldn't have to take off work to sit with them. Highly recommended. I will definitely use him in the future.”

“Capstone Building Group is a great group of people to work with. Its a full service company. Mr. Steve Laboda helped me 12 years ago design and build my current home. Over the years whenever I have needed him for anything he has been there. I recently had a leak due to an air conditioner and the damage was quite extensive at the same time my home needed a fresh coat of paint. Capstone took care of everything, he spoke with the insurance company, fixed the problem and all is well. He then went the extra mile and "touched"up all those marks we get on our walls that won't come off but your not ready to paint the whole room.
