“I recently bought a townhome and hired another contractor to do some painting for me. The reason why I hired a painter was because the ceilings were 27 feet high and I couldn't do the painting myself. The original painter did about $4500 worth of damages the first day (hours) he was in the townhome and he bailed on me. (One of his painter put a ladder on or against the scaffolding and took the entire system down, putting holes in my walls, tearing up my wood floors and throwing paint in multiple rooms) Mr. Collard came in and worked miracles and was so kind in helping me work within my budget. His crew (Mr. Garcia I believe) came in and did a fantastic job of not only painting but also repairing all the damages from the original contractor. He also did flooring and tile work on the staircase for me and everyone comments on how great the job looks. I can not say enough great things about Mr. Collard and all of his workers. They are honest, professional, work is completed on time and Mr. Collard ensures that the customer is fully satisfied before he collect payment. I will use Mr. Collard for all of my remodeling projects.”

“We hired Jeff for a renovation of our detached garage apartment. It was an A-Frame, which he took completely off and rebuilt with full walls. It was made into a loft apartment with decking across the front and enclosed decking/porch on one side. It also included adding a laundry room, handicapped access bathroom, and full kitchen. “Last year Troy Adair of Certified Construction of Texas installed a new wine cooling unit for my wine cellar. Troy is a very knowledgeable, highly qualified professional who completed a fairly complex installation extremely well and on time. His expertise and years of experience in the construction business was obvious to me and was displayed during the projects completion. Recently, I had a problem with the wine cooler unit's discharge of water from the condensation pan inside the unit. Troy worked tirelessly with me and the cooling unit manufacturer to find and discuss all possible engineering solutions. In August of 2015, Troy completed the necessary re-engineering of the cooling unit's drain line in conformity with written guidelines from the manufacturer. The unit is now working perfectly. From the very beginning of the process Rodney K Barker, Inc (RKB) stood out above the others(we met with other highly rated contractors for estimates also). Rodney was patient and knowledgeable, and even met us at some of his suppliers to gauge our taste in materials and the associated costs that would incur so that his estimate could be accurate and so we could be educated clients to the process for whichever company we choose even before we committed to RKB. Rodney is a christian man with integrity, honesty and I would have no problem recommending RKB for ANY sized project. He hires hardworking and trustworthy employees and we never once in five months felt uneasy about anyone who entered our home. Other highlights of why I recommend RKB: 1. Supervisor was onsite if any contractor was on our property. This guaranteed quality control and the security of not having to worry about things walking off the job. 2. Honest and hardworking employees JC, Raul, Jacob, Don, Leo and others were GREAT!!! 3. I wasn’t pressured for money EVER....and disbursements were never asked for in advance(except the initial project startup allotment which was pre-agreed upon). This was refreshing with a few previous experiences I’ve had with OTHER contractors. In fact, on two occasions I was told to wait to pay an allotment till the end of the week because the work wasn’t quite complete yet (refreshing that companies still exist like this). All that said I’d like to say just meet Rodney and you’ll see the difference. Pics are before the covering on the floor was removed and everything completely finished. House is all wood floors except the baths and utility.”
