“We used Action Builders for a two-story addition to our ranch home, adding a kitchen/great room, with two bedrooms, a bath and mud room on the lower level. They were very responsive and creative, making it possible for us to proceed with the addition without the benefit of an outside architect. Once they got started, they miraculously finished within one week of their estimated time frame. During the entire construction process, which included Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, there were only two or three days when the crew were not on the job site The addition is terrific and we are pleased to allow other potential clients to visit and see our finished product.”

“My wife and I lack the 'vision' needed to see the potential of an open space. A Google search led us to Pittsburgh Design and Remodeling, and we reached out to inquire about their basement design services. The design agreement consisted of an initial phone consultation, several 3D renderings (which were updated based on our feedback), and ultimately a neatly packaged pdf file with all of the information. Jeff (the owner) asked all the right questions to get the conversation started and paid close attention to our responses. He presented some interesting ideas that we otherwise would not have come up with. He is friendly, professional, and did exactly what we contracted him to do. We would highly recommend his design services. I should add that our agreement was for design services only. No actual work was performed on the basement so I cannot comment on that part of the business.”

Everyone from Michael Healey himself, through our project manager Christine and Jim, the foreman on the job were communicative, willing to answer questions and happy to listen to our ideas and concerns. I'm a designer and was very concerned about finding a contractor who would be as concerned about the details as I was and be willing to discuss options--they have absolutely been willing to do this. They've also been very understanding about our need to work within a budget and and more than willing to explore alternatives. And the sub-contractors that they work with have been equally as responsible and communicative. I can't recommend them highly enough and we will engage them for our next remodeling project!!”

“We worked closely with Bob Shelton and his team for a renovation of our outdoor space which included restructuring our deck, concrete work, outdoor lighting, and creating a modern privacy fence. He was one of the only contractors that we had met that was on time for every single appointment we had and he was always well prepared. After discussion of our ideas, he completely understood our style and our needs. He sent us a quote by the next day. He always kept us updated with the timeline and was available to us when we had questions and/or concerns. The carpenters on the job were courteous and professional and were able to answer our questions along the way. They also were on time everyday and worked extremely hard to complete. The work was completed on time and on budget for us. We love the way everything turned out and we can't recommend this company enough! We will definitely be working with Shelton in the future.”
