“I worked with Benchmark Builders LLC, we did a whole home remodel. They were straightforward to work with and also had a lot of fun. They are a down-to-earth builder that made the process enjoyable. Were their hiccups? Yes, but all in all I would work with them again and I love my home. Nick the owner was a pleasure to work with.”

“I am an interior designer in the San Francisco Bay Area and it has been my distinct pleasure to work with Frank Puliafico on many projects since 1992. His work, and that of his excellent crews, is of the highest quality and the experience of working with Frank is always a delight. Designers always worry about their projects but I never worry about a project if Frank is the builder. He is, at all times, organized, proactive, honest, dependable, trustworthy and smart. He has carefully trained his crews and they are some of the best craftsmen (and people) I've had the pleasure to work with in my career. Frank has the breadth of knowledge and experience to assess a job, trouble-shoot any potential issues in advance, fairly price and prepare spreadsheets on both costs and schedule, and manage all aspects of the project effortlessly (or at least it seems that way!). “Matt Hanes and his son Dave did a terrific job on our remodel of a 3 bedroom, 3 bath condo in Silverado. Both men were a pleasure to work with. Matt handles the overall supervision of the work and Dave pays close attention to every detail of the project. In addition, Dave is a highly skilled cabinet maker and finish carpenter. The kitchen and bathroom cabinets were fully custom and beautifully made...and a very fair price. We were also very pleased with their internal team and the subs with whom they have relationships. On many occasions during the course of our project, both Matt and Dave provided valuable input into the structural and well as the esthetic design elements. The finished product was greatly enhanced as a result of their suggestions. Because we live in the East Bay we were not able to closely supervise their work but every stage was completed on time (or very nearly so), and the quality of their work was exceptional. And (importantly) there were no cost overruns and no billing surprises!”

“JMA is the absolute top of the line. I was the client rep on a construction and preservation project that they did - their attention to detail is stunning. The project included the retrofit of an adobe home that was built in 1842 and required intense precision. The outcome has been nothing short of mastery! This adobe will live in perpetuity and it retains it's historical integrity and cultural importance to Sonoma. They also came in on time which was against all odds with this property and it's scrutiny by the city and county. Job well done!”

“We hired Ironwood Builders to take down the existing structure and build a new house. This was about one and one half year project and it was completed in the time frame originally quoted. They worked well with the architect as well as all the other subcontractors. David and his crew provided experienced work with great attention to detail and quality. They provided help with choices for materials, lights, stone and wood choices etc. all along the way . They have a very good and discerning eye for beauty and quality with concern for budget as well. They tried very hard to take our vision and they did create a very beautiful house. David gave 100% to make this happen! They continually gave us feedback with their ideas, suggestions etc. For example, David went to the light store many times with me to help make lighting choices. He picked some different tiles to help make the process less overwhelming. He went to granite places with me . Building a house can be overwhelming and they made the process easier by preparing us step by step as to what decisions were needed next. We would hire them again! Archie and Connie Kinney”

“Annadel Builders is one of the best General Contractors I have had the pleasure of working with. Richard Kirby and his team were professional at all times. We have completed one successful single family residence with them, and are underway on two other projects. On our first project, the Annadel team was respectful of the owners and the design team, and took the time to understand the intent of the project and the design intent behind each and every detail. The result is a world class custom residence. The residence project on a remote site in Sonoma, California, had a number of challenges that demanded a team structure in which each and every member was committed to working together to achieve success. Annadel Builders embraced this team oriented processed and exceeded our expectations. The project had a lot of firsts for the entire team....it was the first construction project for the owners, it was the first time we worked with Annadel, it was the first rammed earth house we have designed, and it was the first time the specified doors and windows had ever been used in the United States. Richard and his team believed in what we were trying to achieve, and worked tirelessly to manage the budget, material selections, and finish details.
