“My wife and I have used Brad at Custom Builders many times since 2016 when we purchased our home from them. We purchased our home while already under construction and had our first of many positive experiences with them finishing the construction to our tastes and design. Since 2016 we have had them do multiple big projects. A year after moving in, we had Brad and his team back to finish our basement where we added a full bath, office/bedroom with a built-in desk and walk in closet along with a large family room space aka man town. May 2022 was our most recent project, where we had them back both expand our deck and add a garage under the deck. We couldn't be happier with the results. “For our project, my wife and I wanted to build a house that "fit in" on a street full of charming 19th century New England style homes. Eric Gilmore, president of Gilmore Building Company, a custom home builder in central MA, worked with us and his architect associates to develop a concept that combined our custom floor plan goals with traditional architecture using the Greek Revival style prevalent on the street to build a "new old home". To complete the look, Eric custom designed many of the exterior and interior trim and molding patterns himself. The exterior design turned out to be so authentic that at one point later in the construction phase, an acquaintance that didn't know we were doing this house project remarked to me as we drove past the construction site, "Aw, isn't it nice that someone is restoring that beautiful old house?" ... but it was this new house: goal exceeded!
This was our first custom home, so we were looking for a low risk, low stress process. One option available from Gilmore Building Company that matched our needs was to start with a fixed cost design phase that delivers a firm final construction price, detailed drawings, and full part specifications before digging begins. Once all the design goals were realized and the plans were drawn up, construction went smoothly. Weekly on-site meetings helped review progress and answer the "this or that" questions that inevitably come up during the build of a custom home.
We are now moved in and enjoying all the hard work that Eric and his team put in to the painstakingly designed, quality built, energy efficient home that has all the features we asked for -- and it fits right into the neighborhood.”

“Marcelo and his team did an exceptional job in our home. We couldn’t be more satisfied with the work done. He gave us excellent advice on how to go about the changes made to the house. Throughout the remodeling process, he dealt with electrical, plumbing, framing, siding, HVAC and a few other things. We opened up our entire first floor, remodeled our kitchen, got new floors, remodeled our master bedroom and bathroom just to mention a few things done. It was a big job! and delivered on time.
There is no sugar coating he will tell you like it is and not try to up sell you on more. As soon as we made a decision, he was on it, making things happen. He is very responsive and dedicated to the job. He will answer all your questions honestly taking the time explain the process in a professional and courteous manner. “We used Jack General Services to complete work for our condo association as well as for our personal condo unit. In our unit they repaired our kitchen sink, re-grouted the shower, and re-enameled the tub. We are happy with the functionality and the enamel especially looks lovely. For the association, they helped troubleshoot the issue of water getting into the basement we significantly reduce the problem by replacing basement windows and correcting some gutter work.”
